A Tragedy That Could Not Be Rewritten

The suddenly collapsing cave sealed off the entire entrance in an instant.

Uchiha Daiki said nothing.

Kakashi and Nohara Rin had no time to say anything else. They hurried toward Obito Uchiha.

"Kakashi, I don't think I'm going to make it."

"I'm leaving Rin to you. Also, I have a gift for you. Congratulations on becoming a Jonin..."

At Obito Uchiha's own request, just as in the original story, he asked Nohara Rin to use Medical Ninjutsu to transplant his remaining intact Sharingan into Kakashi as a gift to congratulate him on becoming a Jonin.

After saying all that, once his eye had been transplanted into Kakashi, Obito Uchiha went completely still.

Kakashi said no more. He gave one last deep look toward where Obito Uchiha was pinned, then quickly led the grieving Nohara Rin away from the battlefield.

Having been taught from childhood that missions came first, even if they saw their companion's corpse right before their eyes, they could do nothing else but continue carrying out the mission.

Uchiha Daiki, however, did not leave immediately. Instead, he activated his sensory ability and quietly probed the surrounding area.

What he was searching for was not enemies from other ninja villages, but that unseen presence.

At that very moment, Madara Uchiha, hidden underground, was quietly watching every movement on the surface.

He knew everything that had just happened above ground, because this was precisely where his hidden base was located.

"Have the Uchiha clan of today become so weak... that they can't even withstand a mere Earth Release ninjutsu?"

"That brat is still alive. Go bring him down. Be careful not to let that fellow notice you."

Madara Uchiha issued the order to the White Zetsu attached to the Divine Tree's roots beside him. The fellow he meant was naturally Uchiha Daiki, who was still lingering where he was.

It seemed he had no intention of making contact with this renowned Uchiha Prodigy.
