Perhaps this was the secret behind why Gryffindor was called a Sword Saint.
The sword he left behind could actually absorb magic!
This was what happened.
At first, Cypher felt a hard, rod-shaped object inside the Sorting Hat.
Having been prepared, Cypher naturally knew it was the hilt of a sword.

Only someone truly capable of wielding the Sword of Gryffindor could unleash its full power.
As mentioned before,
the Sword of Gryffindor possessed an attribute that allowed it to cut through nearly anything.
As the sword bearer it acknowledged, Cypher properly conveyed to it the will of a master who needed its help.
The sword's all-cleaving attribute easily broke through the seal that even Dumbledore had been helpless against.
It effortlessly drew in a portion of Cypher's magic.
The magic imprisoned within Cypher's body was unimaginably vast.
