Background / History

Before Qing Wu's rebirth, Aggron endured Volcarona's flames to buy Qing Wu time to break through. It retaliated with Flash Cannon, slicing Volcarona's wings before collapsing from its injuries; Qing Wu recalled it and escaped toward Team Aqua. 1

After Qing Wu's rebirth, Aggron recognized him immediately and became excited on hearing his voice, nearly being struck by a Water Gun in its distraction. Qing Wu identifies it as his familiar partner, and later calls it his first Pokémon. 1 151

Aggron evolved from Kecleon on Dragon Island after absorbing Dark Iron Ore. The evolution elevated its aptitude to Cyan and gave its silver armor a dim glow in darkness. Its new body rapidly dispersed Magmar's Flamethrower heat, leaving its armor cool to the touch. 81

Qing Wu steadily built Aggron's defensive core through Dark Iron Ore, a mountain of Dark Iron on Dragon Island, and rare ores supplied through the Zufichi Clan. This regimen made physical attacks and Fire-type attacks remarkably ineffective against it. 202

At the Holy Land of Steel, Aggron defeated the Klinklang Brothers despite severe injuries, then consumed Ultra Pure Iron and submerged in a lake of liquefied Steel-type energy to undergo its final transformation. It emerged as a Deep Cyan, Level 52 Aggron and carried out its own Mega Stone. 284 285 290

Appearance

Aggron is a large, heavily armored Steel-type Pokémon that stands bipedally after evolving. Its body is encased in silver armor, contrasted by sky-blue eyes and a thick black tail. 81 202 290

Aggron is loyal, resilient, and eager for Qing Wu's approval. It endured Volcarona's flames to protect Qing Wu, fought through paralysis and exhaustion to defeat Klinklang, and looks expectantly to Qing Wu after demonstrating newly developed moves. 1 151 284

It also has a playful side. During the Staryu battle, it treated incoming Water Blades like a bath until Qing Wu told it to stop playing; after winning, it lowered its head shyly when praised. 82

Aggron is enthusiastic about valuable materials and digging. When ordered to search New Island for treasures, it eagerly used Rock Tomb to unearth large quantities of Leaf Stones. 249
