The dark sky shrouded the earth. Enormous white bones jutted diagonally deep into the soil, stretching for thousands of meters like stairways leading to the sky. It was hard to imagine what kind of creature had died to leave behind such magnificent remains.
Around the white bones stood densely packed skeletons. Faint ghostly flames burned in their eye sockets as they staggered about without any clear direction or goal.
A huge black shadow rose from the distant horizon. It resembled a Bone Dragon somewhat, but before it could climb very high, a flying White Bone Spear pierced it. It screamed and crashed to the ground.
Dust billowed, and a White Bone Warhorse appeared. Riding it was a tall skeleton, the ghostly flames in its eye sockets nearly spilling out. The skeleton held a White Bone Spear in each hand, while six more arms extended from its back. Five of those arms gripped identical spears. Clearly, the earlier White Bone Spear had been thrown by the one empty hand.
The tall skeleton rode the White Bone Warhorse rapidly toward the fallen, dying Bone Dragon. Several of its hands began gathering strength, ready to hurl more White Bone Spears and kill the Bone Dragon. It radiated murderous intent, like the only god in this world.
The scene above had been carefully drawn on a sheet of white paper.
The paper lay spread across a table in a huge room. Eight-Armed Skeleton A Nan sat before it, each of his eight arms holding a paintbrush as he worked on certain details.
For instance, whether the skeleton's head in the painting was a little too large, whether the ghostly flames in its eye sockets ought to be more violent, whether the Bone Dragon should be bigger to better highlight the skeleton's bravery...
