Background / History

The Primordial World was created by Pangu and contains Buzhou Mountain, formed from his spine. During the early era, the Heavenly Dao had not yet reached completion. The world’s innate spiritual energy could gather into immense phenomena, and Buzhou Mountain served as the setting for Qing Xuan’s emergence from the Jianmu Tree. 1 21

The Dao-Demon Conflict drastically altered the world’s structure. The Western Spiritual Veins were shattered, the Three Primordial Races declined, and the balance of power shifted toward the later Witch and Demon races. Hongjun subsequently merged with the Heavenly Dao, beginning a period in which the Heavenly Dao sought to govern the world’s order and future calamities. 9 10

The Witch Race’s establishment connected the world to Pangu’s surviving legacy. The Great Dao recognized the Twelve Ancestral Witches as Pangu’s orthodox lineage and infused the Witch Race with additional destiny and fortune. 18 19

Nuwa’s creation of the Human Race introduced a new force into the world. Humanity’s birth stirred the dormant Human Dao, which represented the collective will of living beings, civilization, wisdom, and the capacity to create new possibilities. 37 39 42

Houtu later established Reincarnation by transforming her body into the Six Paths and the Netherworld Underworld.
