Discussing the Sect Rules with Duobao

Xian Junyu had long since formed some ideas in his mind, and he wrote the sect rules down one by one.

Just as he was diligently drafting the rules, Duobao's voice carried in.

"Duobao requests an audience with Senior Disciple Brother!"

Hearing Duobao's voice, Xian Junyu stopped his brush. With a flicker, he and the table and chairs vanished instantly, reappearing beneath a tree outside his cave dwelling.

"Junior Disciple Duobao, Junior Brother Lü Yue, come over!"

Senior Disciple Brother's voice came from behind them. Duobao and Lü Yue instantly turned around, their faces filled with shock.

What an incredible technique. Senior Disciple Brother truly was formidable!

Having confirmed from Senior Brother Duobao that this was indeed Senior Disciple Brother, Lü Yue inwardly marveled at how powerful he was as well.

Unlike Lü Yue, however, Duobao was shocked by both the divine ability and cultivation.

This was a lower-tier spatial divine ability from the Great Cave True Scripture. Spatial Shift required at least Late-stage Grand Unity Golden Immortal cultivation. Could it be that Lü Yue had not lied?

The two walked over and cupped their hands in greeting. Lü Yue in particular was several times more respectful than before.

Xian Junyu merely smiled bitterly and shook his head, waving a hand to conjure two stone stools.

"Great Luo Golden Immortal is not this brother's limit. Sit, Junior Brothers."

"Thank you, Senior Disciple Brother. With your talent, Great Luo truly is not your limit..." After thanking him, Duobao sat down directly.

Lü Yue, however, hesitated somewhat. The two before him were Personal Disciples. Though they were both disciples of Master Tongtian, Inner Sect Disciples could not compare with Personal Disciples.

Just look at Chang'er Dingguang Xian. He was merely an Attendant Immortal, yet he acted so arrogantly.

That alone showed that there were still distinctions between disciples.

"What is it, Junior Brother Lü Yue? Sit."

As he spoke, Xian Junyu took out a tea set, brought out the tea leaves he had taken from Chang'er Dingguang Xian, and brewed a pot of tea.

Hearing this, Lü Yue remained standing there awkwardly. His previous disrespect toward Senior Disciple Brother was still vivid in his mind.

"Sit, Lü Yue. Did you not hear Senior Disciple Brother?"

Duobao said indifferently.

Lü Yue looked at Senior Brother Duobao, then at Senior Disciple Brother Xian Junyu, before finally thanking them and sitting down.

"Thank you, Senior Disciple Brother. Thank you, Senior Brother Duobao..."

Xian Junyu poured each of them a cup of tea. Seeing Lü Yue sitting so stiffly, he recalled the sect's assessment of him.

Back when he had been a sweeper, the sect's disciples had held nothing back when discussing him, allowing him to hear all sorts of rumors about himself.

"Junior Brother Lü Yue, there is no need to be so restrained around me. I am quite easygoing. The sect's assessment of me is completely groundless, so do not take it too seriously."

Seeing Senior Disciple Brother's warm smile and approachable demeanor, nothing like the harsh figure of rumor, Lü Yue nodded.

Duobao, sitting nearby, was full of curiosity.

Seeing Lü Yue's awkward expression, Xian Junyu smiled and explained carelessly:

"Because Master gave me a minor punishment and confined me for Three Hundred Years, the newer disciples in the sect heard about it."

"They guessed that this brother was too bold in his conduct and displeased Master. They have practically turned me into some heaven-defying madman, hahaha..."

Recalling the absurd rumors those Junior Brothers had spread about him, Xian Junyu burst into laughter.

Someone as cheerful and easygoing as him had somehow been portrayed that way. It was simply ridiculous.

In contrast to Xian Junyu's cheerfulness, Duobao frowned deeply upon hearing this, clearly displeased.

"Those insolent fools actually dared to slander Senior Disciple Brother's reputation like this. They are utterly outrageous!"

Senior Disciple Brother Xian Junyu was the face of the Jie Sect. How could Duobao possibly be happy to see its figurehead slandered like this?

"Forget it, Junior Brother. It is only a small matter. Let them say whatever they want. I do not care, so there is no need for you to concern yourself with it."

"I was actually planning to visit you in a few days. Since you came today, I need not make the trip. Take a look at this."

Having changed the subject, Xian Junyu pushed what he had written before Duobao.

Duobao picked it up in confusion. Upon seeing its contents, his pupils suddenly contracted. After a brief hesitation, he said:

The contents were almost entirely restrictions on the conduct of sect disciples, such as prohibiting them from eating raw flesh and drinking blood on Mount Kunlun.

Many Jie Sect Disciples were spirits and monsters. They could accept other things, but eating raw flesh and drinking blood was practically instinctive to them. It would be difficult to restrain.

Duobao's meaning was also clear. Even Master did not concern himself with this matter, so would it really be appropriate for Senior Disciple Brother to interfere?

Most importantly, eating raw flesh and drinking blood on Mount Kunlun was practically rubbing Yuanshi the wrong way. If such trivial nonsense caused the Three Pure Ones to split apart, those bastards would deserve to die.

Seeing Senior Disciple Brother's firm attitude, Duobao knew there was nothing he could persuade him out of. Besides, he felt that Master would likely approve of this matter as well.

Let Master settle it. In any case, these rules would not restrict him.

"Then Senior Disciple Brother may decide for yourself..."

Even Duobao did not think highly of it, and Xian Junyu knew that putting this matter into practice would likely be very difficult.

But for the future of the Jie Sect, he had to rectify the sect's conduct.

"It is not for me to handle alone. It requires everyone's efforts!"

"As long as Master agrees, I intend to have Junior Disciple Duobao take charge of the Male Immortals, while Jin Ling will take charge of the Female Immortals!"

Xian Junyu explained his plan.

There would be more and more Jie Sect Disciples in the future. He certainly could not manage them all alone, nor would he remain in the sect forever.

Having Duobao and Jin Ling take responsibility whenever he left the sect was undoubtedly an excellent decision. Their status in the Jie Sect was not much lower than his own.

"As long as Master agrees, I can take responsibility for the Male Immortals. As for the Female Immortals, Senior Disciple Sister should have no problem with it either."

Duobao agreed reluctantly. This was not an easy task; it would offend many Junior Brothers.

Still, whether Master would agree was another matter entirely. If he did, then Duobao would take responsibility. Although difficult, this would indeed benefit the Jie Sect.

For the Jie Sect's sake, he was willing to do it, provided that Master agreed.
