Background
Xian Junyu is a transmigrant from Earth and an innate being who became Tongtian's sole disciple on Mount Kunlun. Despite his exceptional origins, he initially cultivated only half-heartedly: knowing the fate awaiting the Intercepting Sect during the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation, he preferred a quiet life over pursuing power. 1 4
Yuanshi repeatedly attempted to recruit him, offering the vice sect mastership of the Heavenly Origin Sect, access to its resources, and the Pangu Banner. Xian Junyu refused every offer, maintaining that he would not betray Tongtian or the Intercepting Sect. 4 5 6
His outlook changed after he obtained the Invincible Senior Disciple System. By binding junior disciples and receiving returns from their cultivation, he gained a path to power that also strengthened the Jie Sect. 7 13
Appearance
At the Heavenly Court, Xian Junyu is described as having a refined face and the bearing of an immortal. 52
- Long hair 52
- Usually wears white robes 52
- Maintains a youthful appearance despite his immense age 93
Personality
Xian Junyu began as openly lazy, shamelessly evasive, and strongly opposed to responsibilities that threatened his carefree life. He avoided cultivation, delegated disciple-recruitment work to Duobao, and even refused the Three Pure Ones' proposal that he become Heavenly Emperor. 1 7 22
His indolence does not override his principles. He is fiercely loyal to Tongtian, refuses to abandon his sect for personal gain, and places great importance on protecting both his disciples and the Intercepting Sect's future. 4 6 115
He is capable of compassion and harshness in equal measure. He risked himself to rescue humans during the Mount Buzhou disaster without revealing his name, yet he readily disciplines subordinates, opponents, and Heavenly Court officials who show disrespect. 31 41 210
