Xian Junyu defeated the Western Religion disciples and spared Randeng and Yun Zhongzi after confronting them over their attack on Wen Zhong. He announced that the Interception Sect would establish the Immortal Slaying Formation at Jiepai Pass in half a month, leaving Jiang Ziya and the others to seek help from the saints.

• Xian Junyu struck at Randeng, who escaped by sacrificing a spiritual treasure, and then let Yun Zhongzi go after reprimanding him for joining the attack on Wen Zhong.
• Xian Junyu asked Jin Ling whether she accepted his decision, and she deferred to him despite being unhappy that Randeng and Yun Zhongzi escaped.
• Xian Junyu announced that the Interception Sect would set up the Immortal Slaying Formation before Jiepai Pass in half a month and invited anyone capable to challenge it.
• Jiang Ziya and the others admitted they knew nothing about the formation and decided to consult Saint Yuqing and the Martial Saint.
• Xian Junyu returned to Jiepai Pass with Jin Ling and Wen Zhong, and Nezha and Yang Jian hurried to check on Wen Zhong.

Xian Junyu questioned Wen Zhong, Yang Jian, and Nezha about their recent defeat, then ordered preparations for the coming battle between Saints. He learned that Di Xin’s Shang Dynasty was prospering and that the World Tree might revive in about fifty days, leaving him to prepare for the final battle while urging his clones to hurry.

• Xian Junyu heard Yang Jian and Nezha explain how the enemy’s schemes and formation had drawn them away from Wen Zhong, while Wen Zhong accepted responsibility for the failure.
• Wen Zhong told Xian Junyu that Su Daji was helping the Shang Dynasty, Di Xin had changed for the better, and Shen Gongbao had been sent to plug the Eye of the North Sea.
• Xian Junyu sent Yang Jian, Nezha, and Wen Zhong to prepare for the final battle, and warned Jin Ling to stay out of the battle between Saints and protect the others.
• After Jin Ling left, Xian Junyu contacted his clones and learned that the World Tree could revive in about fifty days, though they still lacked some laws.
• Xian Junyu urged his clones to work faster, saying this was their last chance to revive the World Tree before the final battle.

Laozi and Yuanshi sent Jieyin and Zhunti to recruit allies against Tongtian, while Xian Junyu learned that eight Saints would oppose them at Jiepai Pass. Tongtian divided the coming Saints between himself and Xian Junyu, leaving Xian Junyu surprised by his Master’s choice of opponents.

• At Mount Kunlun, Laozi warned that Xian Junyu’s involvement made Tongtian’s challenge dangerous, and Yuanshi agreed that allies were needed.
• After Yuanshi blamed Jieyin and Zhunti for offending Nuwa, Laozi ordered them to recruit allies, and they reluctantly accepted.
• Half a month later, Tongtian laid out the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation before Jiepai Pass and asked Xian Junyu how many Saints would come.
• Xian Junyu revealed that two Earthly Dao Saints, two Human Dao Saints, and four Heavenly Dao Saints would be deployed against them.
• Tongtian assigned the four Earthly Dao and Human Dao Saints to himself and the four Heavenly Dao Saints to Xian Junyu, who wondered why his Master had chosen that division.

Xian Junyu blocked the Heavenly Dao's Four Saints while Tongtian activated the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation against the Human and Earthly Dao saints. The battle split into two fronts, leaving Laozi and the others trapped with Xian Junyu as they prepared to fight him together.

• Xian Junyu admitted he was not confident against four saints but said his abilities and treasures gave him a chance.
• Eight saints arrived, and Laozi urged Tongtian to withdraw his formation while Tongtian accused Laozi of joining outsiders to suppress the Interception Sect.
• Xian Junyu challenged the Heavenly Dao's Four Saints and let the Human and Earthly Dao saints enter the formation.
• Tongtian activated the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation and attacked the Human and Earthly Dao saints, forcing the battlefield apart.
• Xian Junyu attacked Jieyin and used the Chaos Bell to seal the Heavenly Dao's Four Saints in space and time.
• Laozi decided that the four Human and Earthly Dao saints would handle Tongtian while he and the others joined forces against Xian Junyu.

Xian Junyu confronted Laozi, Yuanshi, Jieyin, and Zhunti, overpowering the Western Saints and forcing Laozi and Yuanshi to shield them. He then endured the three Saints’ assault inside the Chaos Bell, while their attacks failed to break its defenses and Laozi prepared a stronger strike.

• Xian Junyu refused Laozi and Yuanshi’s pleas to retreat and challenged them to fight.
• Jieyin and Zhunti attacked Xian Junyu, but his Saint Realm Seventh Heaven palm strike nearly overwhelmed them.
• Laozi and Yuanshi blocked Xian Junyu’s attack with the Taiji Diagram and Pangu Banner, and Xian Junyu assessed their power.
• Laozi and Yuanshi attacked while Jieyin and Zhunti provided support, but Xian Junyu’s Chaos Bell withstood their blows.
• Jieyin and Zhunti urged Laozi to act because their combined attacks could not break the Chaos Bell’s defenses.

Xian Junyu broke Laozi’s Taiji Techniques while Tongtian kept the Four Saints of Humanity and Earth trapped in the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation. Laozi prepared to face Xian Junyu alone so Yuanshi and the Two Saints of the West could escape and help the others, but Xian Junyu began casting a spell to stop them.

• Laozi used the Taiji Nine Palaces and Ten Directions Technique to teleport Xian Junyu’s Chaos Bell away, then Yuanshi, Jieyin, and Zhunti attacked Xian Junyu at close range.
• Xian Junyu discovered Laozi’s Taiji formations were strengthening the Three Saints and weakening him, then broke the effects and countered Laozi’s Taiji Techniques.
• Tongtian suppressed Minghe and the other Three Saints of Humanity and Earth inside the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation, while Minghe urged them to hold on and rely on Laozi’s group.
• Xian Junyu broke Laozi’s remaining Taiji Techniques and depleted much of Yuanshi, Jieyin, and Zhunti’s Saint Power.
