Xian Junyu faced the Investiture of the Gods tribulation and uncovered Ling Quan’s influence over the rising Three Innate Races. After defeating their invasion of Penglai, he punished the clans and prepared to leave for the Lower Realm as their leaders arrived to apologize.

• Xian Junyu tested the Six-Eared Macaque, then told him to journey to Penglai one step and one kowtow at a time before he would accept him.
• Hongjun summoned the Saints and Xian Junyu, announced the Investiture of the Gods tribulation, and required the factions to provide candidates for the Heavenly Court.
• Xian Junyu agreed that the Interception Sect would contribute, then warned Tongtian that the tribulation targeted the sect and promised to protect its disciples.
• Xian Junyu discovered that Ling Quan was secretly supporting the Dragon Clan, accepted the Six-Eared Macaque as his third disciple, and prepared for the Three Innate Races’ resurgence.
• Hongjun confronted Xian Junyu over the Three Innate Races, but their clash ended when the Heavenly Dao took control of Hongjun, and Tongtian then entrusted Xian Junyu with dealing with the threat.
• The Three Innate Races surrounded Penglai, and Ling Quan broke its protective formation before Xian Junyu defeated the attackers and trapped Ling Quan in the Myriad Phenomena Realm.
• Cangxu rescued Ling Quan, while Xian Junyu imprisoned the leaders and members of the Three Innate Races with Eternal Prison and expelled them from Penglai.
• Xian Junyu told Tongtian he would go to the Lower Realm, left Penglai in Yun Xiao’s care, and rejected Ying Long’s attempt to blame the Dragon Clan’s attack on Ling Quan.

Xian Junyu traveled through the Primordial and mortal realms, gathering the Chaos Demon Ape’s scattered spirits and helping Wugou rescue Buxi before taking Wugou as a disciple. The group reached Three Mountains Pass, where they confronted the Evil Cult and freed Luoling from the High Priest’s cauldron.

• Xian Junyu spared the Dragon Clan through a deal with Yuanshi, then reassured Tongtian that the Jie Sect would survive its enemies.
• Xian Junyu traveled with Kong Xuan, Yuan Di, Liu Er, and Luoling, then found the three scattered primordial spirits of the Chaos Demon Ape and reunited them with Six-Eared.
• Xian Junyu visited Flower-Fruit Mountain, captured the Arm-Connecting Ape Monkey, and helped the Lingming Stone Monkey take form while leaving part of its spirit behind.
• Xian Junyu took Wuzhiqi’s primordial spirit and combined it with the other spirits in Six Ears, then encountered Wugou seeking help to rescue Buxi from the Jufu Clan.
• Xian Junyu empowered Wugou to save Buxi, but later took Wugou away as promised, and Buxi vowed to wait for his return, and Wugou accepted Xian Junyu as his Master.
• Xian Junyu’s group aided starving people and reached Three Mountains Pass, where an old man told them that Priests had corrupted the city and prevented its people from seeking help.
• The Priests captured Luoling in a black cauldron, while Xian Junyu let them retreat and challenged Wugou to a long-term wager after Wugou attacked him.
• At the City Lord’s Mansion, the High Priest tried to recruit Wugou and then used demonic qi to attack, and Yuan Di seized him, and Xian Junyu crushed the cauldron to free Luoling.

Xian Junyu prepared for the Demon Realm’s threat while intervening in the Human Race and the coming Investiture of the Gods Tribulation. After the conflict over San Xiao and the Chan Sect escalated, he rescued Wen Zhong at Juelong Ridge and destroyed the Western Religion followers who had attacked him.

• Xian Junyu sealed the demonic passage at Three Mountains Pass, left Kong Xuan to guard it, and confronted the Human Path in Luofeng before sealing it inside him and binding Humanity for a hundred years.
• Xian Junyu visited Wen Zhong and warned him that the Tribulation would begin with the selection of three hundred and sixty-five Orthodox Gods, then persuaded Li Jing to let his unborn son become Xian Junyu’s disciple.
• After Nezha’s death and resurrection, Xian Junyu stopped him from killing Li Jing and sent him to assist Wen Zhong in the Shang Dynasty.
• Xian Junyu secretly recorded the Two Saints of the West manipulating King Zhou, while San Xiao left Penglai to help Zhao Gongming and later trapped the Chan Sect’s Golden Immortals in the Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation.
• Laozi, Nuwa, and Yuanshi broke San Xiao’s formation, and Yuanshi destroyed the sisters’ cultivation, and Xian Junyu took them to Penglai and later showed Nuwa that the Two Saints of the West had caused King Zhou’s insult.
• Tongtian declared that he would act against the Chan Sect and its allies, while Xian Junyu entered a spatial rift with Jin Ling to rescue Wen Zhong at Juelong Ridge.
• Xian Junyu healed Wen Zhong, confronted Jianglong and the Western Religion followers, and destroyed them with Immortal Power as they fled.
