Ch. 59Thunder God Puhua Heavenly Venerate and Tianpeng

Ch. 60Haotian and Yaochi Try to Win Over Others

Ch. 61Xian Junyu Ascends the Imperial Throne

Haotian and Yaochi decided to grant Xian Junyu an imperial throne to win over the Interception Sect and counter Yuanshi’s ambitions. They summoned Xian Junyu, who arrived unaware of their plan and began wondering what urgent matter they wanted to discuss.

  • Yaochi advised Haotian to support Xian Junyu with an imperial throne, citing his standing among the Three Pure Ones and the Interception Sect’s support for the Heavenly Court.
  • Haotian agreed, despite his reluctance to give up power and Merit and Fortune, and ordered the Heavenly Slave to summon Xian Junyu.

  • Xian Junyu warned that accepting the Emperor Position would put the Interception Sect in conflict with Yuanshi, whom he still felt indebted to.
  • Tongtian ordered Xian Junyu to accept the offer after the Preaching Assembly and said he would personally deal with Yuanshi without holding back.
  • Tongtian sent Xian Junyu from the Travel Palace, and Xian Junyu realized that facing Yuanshi was unavoidable and that he might soon leave Mount Kunlun.

Ch. 66Peak of Great Luo: Plotting a Path to Sainthood

Xian Junyu told Laozi that he would not yield the Heavenly Court to protect Tongtian and the Interception Sect, and reaffirmed that they should leave Mount Kunlun. • Xian Junyu returned to Tongtian’s Daoist Sanctuary and activated the system’s cultivation return, asking it to skip individual disciple notifications.
  • The system returned the cultivation of a perfected Great Luo Golden Immortal, raising Xian Junyu to the peak of the Great Luo Golden Immortal.
  • Xian Junyu began considering methods of achieving sainthood.

Ch. 67Path of Severing Souls with Three Thousand Laws

Xian Junyu struggled to choose a path to sainthood until the System generated a path tailored to him: severing Three Thousand Fallen Souls with the Three Thousand Great Dao Laws. The System then altered its return rules to help him pursue that path.

  • Xian Junyu rejected the Three Corpses path and weighed Proving the Dao with Strength against Law Proving the Dao, but feared neither suited his urgent circumstances.
  • The System recommended Law Severing Corpse Proving the Dao, prompting Xian Junyu to question whether it would strip away his good, evil, and self.
  • The System explained that its path used the Three Thousand Great Dao Laws to sever Three Thousand Fallen Souls without affecting Xian Junyu, allowing him to form a Perfect Great Dao Body.
  • Xian Junyu learned that Fallen Souls were deficiencies in a cultivator and became eager to pursue perfection, but worried he could not obtain the Three Thousand Laws.
  • The System altered its rules so cultivation returns would occur upon breakthroughs in major realms and be paid out once the total reached one hundred percent.

Ch. 68Traveling Through Time and the Soul Corpse Individual

After receiving the complete Time Law, Xian Junyu witnessed Pangu battling the Chaos Demon Gods in the distant past, then returned and broke through to the early Quasi-Saint stage by creating his first Soul Corpse. • The system rewarded Xian Junyu with the complete Time Law, which pulled his soul consciousness into the River of Time and carried him back to the Chaos Void.
  • Xian Junyu watched Pangu kill a Chaos Demon God with one swing of his axe, but Pangu noticed him and forced him out of the River of Time.

Ch. 72Emperor Gouchen's Position Is Mine

  • Yuanshi urged Laozi to teach Tongtian a lesson for accepting the Heavenly Court position, but Tongtian argued that Haotian had offered it and challenged Yuanshi to fight.

Ch. 73The Protective Sect Master Tongtian

Laozi and Yuanshi went to the Heavenly Court with Tongtian to seek another Emperor Position, while Tongtian planned to protect Xian Junyu. At the South Heavenly Gate, Yuanshi's words about Xian Junyu's position sparked a confrontation with Tongtian.

  • Laozi proposed that he and Yuanshi ask Haotian for an Emperor Position, and Tongtian refused to get involved because he had already secured one for Xian Junyu.
  • Laozi and Yuanshi set out for the Heavenly Court, while Tongtian joined them to support his eldest disciple.
  • Xian Junyu summoned Jin Ling, Dingguang, Jin Guang, and other disciples to welcome the Three Pure Ones at the South Heavenly Gate.

Xian Junyu assured the other disciples that the position was his, and the arrival of Zhunti and Jieyin left the group waiting to see what the five Saints would do.

  • Zhunti and Jieyin noticed Xian Junyu’s Quasi-Saint cultivation and decided he was fated to join their Buddhist sect, unaware that he was Tongtian’s beloved disciple.
  • Houtu arrived, and Xian Junyu was surprised by her beautiful appearance before she glanced back at him with a faint smile.
  • Xian Junyu reasoned that Emperor Qinghua of the East Pole was the only Imperial Position still in dispute among the gathered Saints.
  • Zhunti, Jieyin, Yuanshi, and Tongtian released their Saintly auras inside the Supreme Treasure Hall, then emerged into the sky armed and ready to fight.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti claimed Emperor Qinghua for the Western Lands, while Yuanshi and Tongtian warned them to leave the East.
