Lin Bai kills a giant Crimson Hell Python and then finds Di Wuyan asking him to carry a message into a beast’s cave.

• Chen Yule celebrated his new marquisate with a banquet, where Lin Bai defended Qin Yao and Qiao Mo from White Deer Academy students and learned of Xiao Cangsheng’s power.
• Chen Yule revealed that he had lost to Lin Bai twice, and he gathered Lin Bai, Huang Qingyun, Shui Mo Dan, Qian Hen, and Yi Song into an alliance for the hunt.
• Qian Hen explained the Tianquan Great World and the looming Crown Prince selection, while the guests discussed the factions and princes they might support.
• After the banquet, Tianshui Sect elders backed Lin Bai as a candidate for Saint Son, and Zhang Xuanling offered rewards for the Eight-Armed Wild Ape’s heart’s blood.
• The Chu Emperor elevated Prince Chen and announced the Eastern Sky Hunting Grounds expedition, where a teleportation formation scattered the hunters across the wilderness.

Lin Bai and his allies lured and killed giant beasts in the Eastern Sky Hunting Grounds, drawing attention to his rising strength and provoking rival factions. When the Heaven and Earth Gate attacked the Tianshui Sect disciples, Lin Bai rescued them, killed its fighters, and pursued the escaping Ke Ling.

• Di Wuyan reconciled with the White Dragon after entering her cave alone, and Lin Bai later reunited with Huang Qingyun as they searched the hunting grounds.
• Lin Bai and Huang Qingyun joined Chen Yule, Yi Song, Qian Hen, Shui Mo Dan, and other martial artists, where Qian Hen used Eternal Creation Stone Milk to attract giant beasts.
• The group killed waves of giant beasts, and Lin Bai defeated the invisible Sky-Covering Lizard before helping his allies finish the hunt.
• Lin Bai's ranking rose to tenth on the Chu Kingdom's Dao God Rankings, earning Emperor Chu's praise and drawing hostility from the Chen Family, the Third Prince, and the Heaven and Earth Gate.
• Zhao Xiantu, Li Mo, Shangguan Tong, and Sun Miao arrived to demand half the beasts' bones, and Lin Bai heavily wounded Shangguan Tong before learning that Heaven and Earth Gate disciples were attacking the Tianshui Sect group.

Lin Bai defeated Ke Ling during the hunt, then secured rewards while learning that the Heaven and Earth Gate was preparing to strike Tianshui Sect. As Tianshui Sect weighed making him Saint Son, Lin Bai negotiated for support in reaching the Tianquan Great World and proposed using Chu Kingdom’s succession struggle against the Heaven and Earth Gate.

• Lin Bai pursued Ke Ling through repeated teleportation escapes, then defeated him after Ke Ling revealed the Earth Demon's power and Lin Bai awakened the Azure Lotus Sword Intent.
• Shangguan Tong, Li Mo, Zhao Xiantu, and Sun Miao rescued Ke Ling, but Chen Yule and other allies backed Lin Bai before Emperor Chu ended the hunt and drove off the Heaven and Earth Gate elders.
• At the Celestial Mystery Pavilion, Lin Bai and his companions negotiated for Grand Yi Golden Pills, equipment repairs, and other rewards, while Qian Hen warned that the Heaven and Earth Gate was preparing for war.
• Back at Tianshui Sect, Lin Bai discovered that the Crow had stolen treasures, and he told Qiao Mo and Qin Yao that he regarded the Crow as a friend and brother.
• Tianshui Sect elders debated appointing Lin Bai Holy Son as the Heaven and Earth Gate’s preparations raised fears of an attack, and Lin Bai admitted he lacked deep loyalty to the sect but wanted to help on agreed terms.
• Lin Bai bargained with Chu Xi and Li Zai'en for thirteen thousand Celestial Jades, then offered to become Saint Disciple if Tianshui Sect supported his cultivation and his entry into the Tianquan Great World.

Lin Bai became Tianshui Sect’s Holy Son as Chu Xi committed the sect to Prince Chen and prepared for a confrontation with its rivals. At the succession ceremony, Lin Bai defeated the Cloud Heaven Sword Sect’s challengers and invited both it and the Heaven and Earth Gate to attack him together.

• Lin Bai persuaded Chu Xi and the Tianshui Sect elders to support Prince Chen, and Chu Xi sent Li Zai'en secretly to the Imperial Capital to pledge the sect’s loyalty.
• Chu Xi proclaimed Lin Bai the Tianshui Sect’s Holy Son, while rival sects and political powers gathered for his succession ceremony.
• Lin Bai chose to cultivate the difficult Astonishing Immortal Sword Intent and learned to hold back the Black Tide with his sword intent.
• The Heaven and Earth Gate and Cloud Heaven Sword Sect discussed destroying the Tianshui Sect, while the sect prepared to face their hostility at the ceremony.
• At the ceremony, Li Yuanzong challenged Lin Bai’s appointment, and Bai Yifei severed his own arm to show his loyalty and keep the dispute from dividing the sect.
