Su Wanqing is the granddaughter of Old Master Su and the bearer of the Su family's inherited bloodline. She wears a phoenix-carved jade pendant passed down by her grandmother; its faint life force resists Master Xuan Chen's Yin Sha Qi, exposing his attempt to seize it under the guise of removing an “ominous” object. 60

Her family preserves cryptic warnings concerning a glowing ancestral stone: “When stone light appears, ancestral land opens, bloodline is drawn, fate arrives” and “Suppress misfortune, guard the heart's gate.” These clues lead Ling Ye to investigate the Su family's old house and its dormant spatial array. 56
