The Abyssal Needle is a dull silver needle distinguished by its coldness, weight, and sharply contained aura. When activated through Spiritual Sense, it can become an almost imperceptible gray thread or dark streak. 203 204

History

Su Wanqing named the weapon Abyssal Needle, choosing the name to evoke “still waters run deep, with hidden sharpness.” She considered its ordinary-looking yet unfathomable temperament similar to Ling Ye’s. 203

Before wielding it directly, Su Wanqing used the needle as a reference for refining her own Spiritual Sense needle transformation. By studying its structure and energy flow, she learned to compress scattered Spiritual Sense into more durable and precise forms, ultimately passing Ling Ye’s first-grade test by piercing ten dots one millimeter apart on A4 paper without tearing it. 203

After receiving permission to train with it, Su Wanqing found its control far smoother and less energy-intensive than her self-condensed thought needles. The artifact also exposed flaws in her manipulation through sensitive feedback, becoming both her weapon and an exacting instructor. 204

The Abyssal Needle saw its first real combat use when Su Wanqing remotely intervened in the Treasure Seeking Mouse’s pursuit through the sewers. It pierced through pipes and obstacles to ambush the Shadow Hunters’ captain, grazing his neck and leaving him numb from the needle’s cold energy. 211
