Before Yin Xuege could say anything, a flash of blood-colored light flickered in Farnburg's eyes, and he suddenly laughed. "Is it because of those Easterners? Hmm, what exactly does your Yin Clan want to do? Well, Lord Yin Tianjue, eating alone is a despised act!"
The Yin Clan's Mortar Cannon let out a muffled roar. Dozens of gigantic bombs were hurled high into the air and shot toward the metal walls of the Great Berlin City-State. As a gentle breeze swept past, Yin Tianjue appeared out of thin air beside Yin Xuege with his hands clasped behind his back.
"Prince Farnburg?" Yin Tianjue sighed faintly. "Because of your presence, we haven't shown ourselves these past few days! Your attitude toward our Yin Clan back then wasn't very friendly. We had to think carefully about whether your appearance would benefit us or harm us!"
Farnburg chuckled with a hissing sound. He licked his lips hard, bowed slightly, then spread both hands, keeping them as far from his body as possible. Among the Blood Demon Clan, this gesture represented that he had no weapons in his hands and harbored no ill will! It was an extremely ancient ceremonial tradition. When Farnburg made this gesture, it proved that he would not bring harm to the Yin Clan this time!
The tension in Yin Tianjue's face suddenly eased. He glanced at Yin Xuege, then returned Farnburg's gesture with one exactly the same.
The bombs from the distant Mortar Cannon struck the ground, and the terrifying roar of the explosions rolled across the distance. A black-and-red mushroom cloud rose into the sky. A dazzling halo lit up along the walls of the Great Berlin City-State, and countless twisted golden characters emerged from within the walls. This time, the Yin Clan's Mortar Cannon had failed to blast the walls open.
"What sturdy walls, hmm?" Yin Tianjue narrowed his eyes at Farnburg. "How about we join forces and attack our way in?"
"Not interested!" Farnburg smiled at Yin Tianjue. "This is the Yin Clan's territory, so breaking in is your own business! I came here only because of this little fellow, Yin Xuege! He may not know what the secret canon and its precepts are about, but you should!"
"The Bloodline Son?" Yin Tianjue sighed, helplessly reaching out to rub Yin Xuege's head. "You sly old fox, you want to fish for benefits from Yin Xuege? Then what can the Stuttgart Family give us?"
Farnburg's answer was incredibly direct—or rather, it could be described as frank. "A Sunwalker! Great Ancestor above, those damn humans threw me into the Blood Prison, but I never expected to encounter a Juvenile with Sunwalker talent inside!"
Farnburg shrugged and smiled at Yin Xuege, letting out a heavy sigh. "The only pity is that you aren't one of our Stuttgart people! But no matter what, in my long life, this is only the second time I've seen a Sunwalker! I missed the first one, so I absolutely cannot miss the second!"
"So you schemed against Yin Xuege!" Yin Tianjue furrowed his brow and shook his head in exasperation.
"Can that really be called scheming?" Farnburg said rapidly. "Twenty drops of a prince's essence blood! And I painstakingly left behind a great deal of experience and memories! From the very beginning of his growth, I placed this little fellow on the shoulders of a seasoned prince!"
As Yin Xuege watched Yin Tianjue and Farnburg clash fiercely with their words, he suddenly understood. He looked at Farnburg's solemn expression, then let out a long, helpless, troubled sigh. "Actually, you could have escaped by relying on your own strength, couldn't you?"
Farnburg's expression became extraordinarily colorful. He shrugged, then forcefully flicked Yin Xuege on the forehead.
"All right, I admit it. Being captured by those damn humans and thrown into the Blood Prison was the greatest humiliation of my life! But I must also admit that, if I'd been given a few more days, I would have recovered enough strength to slip out of that damned Blood Prison!"
"That Blood Prison can hold other people, but it absolutely cannot hold a powerful Blood Demon Prince—especially one surnamed Stuttgart! And especially when his name is the great Farnburg! Give me a few more days, and I could have left on my own!"
Farnburg exhaled and stared intently at Yin Xuege. "But when old Farnburg discovered that, right next door, they were keeping a tiny Sunwalker, unless old Farnburg's brain had stopped working, he absolutely wouldn't let that opportunity pass! So, my dear Yin Xuege, according to the most ancient secret canon and its precepts, you are my Bloodline Son! No one can deny this fact!"
Farnburg glared fiercely at Yin Tianjue, then sneered. "Don't even think about monopolizing the benefits! Your Yin Clan doesn't have the qualifications to digest a Sunwalker! But with the Stuttgart Family added in, it won't be a problem at all! He can receive the finest support, obtain the fastest growth, and with our cooperation, he will become the youngest prince in history!"
Yin Tianjue looked coldly at Farnburg. After a long while, he finally sighed helplessly.
"Things have come to this, so show us your sincerity! Prince Farnburg, I still remember clearly that when the Yin Clan first set foot on Western soil, you secretly assembled a punitive army that caused us enormous trouble! You damned old stubborn!"
Farnburg laughed smugly. He vigorously stroked Yin Xuege's hair, then threw his head back and laughed aloud.
"Then my sincerity is this: the Blood Chalice will be entrusted to your Yin Clan for safekeeping for a hundred years. You know what it means. It will bring tremendous benefits to your Yin Clan! Of the thirteen inherited holy artifacts of the Blood Demon Clan, the Blood Chalice is the only true source!"
"After that, the Stuttgart Family and the Yin Clan will become blood-oath allies! We will cooperate comprehensively, becoming blood-oath allies without any reservations!"
"The Era of Dharma Decline is about to end, and an age of prosperity is coming! But before that golden age arrives, there will be a frenzied age of chaos. Who knows how many living beings will die? But if our two families become blood-oath allies, we will fear nothing!"
"Finally, the Stuttgart Family will resolve a minor little problem for you on the Brianburg Family's side!"
Farnburg narrowed his eyes and smiled, looking at Yin Tianjue with boundless smugness.
"A minor little problem for the Brianburg Family?" Yin Tianjue's face twitched violently. He glared fiercely at Farnburg, then cursed under his breath. "Your noses are truly sharp!"
Yin Tianjue rubbed his hands hard, then held one out toward Farnburg. "Then, broadly speaking, we'll do it this way. We can discuss the specific agreement in detail later! For now, there's a cake before us that may be incredibly delicious—or extremely difficult to digest. We should join hands and seize enough benefits from it!"
"Those Easterners? The Jiang Clan?" Farnburg grinned, and four long fangs slowly grew from his mouth.
"Those Easterners—the Jiang Clan!" Yin Tianjue said leisurely. "The Jiang Clan's status in the East is a hundred times more exalted than ours in the West! You can't imagine how valuable the thing that could lure them here must be!"
Their hands clasped tightly together, and Yin Tianjue and Farnburg both laughed.
"Deal!" (To be continued)
