Background / History
During the Era of Dharma Decline, when spiritual veins collapsed and conventional cultivation became impossible, Yin Tianjue led the clan’s Heaven Generation elders in a raid on the Blood Demon Sacred Hall. They seized the remaining Blood Demon Saint Blood and transformed themselves into Blood Demons, establishing the Yin Clan’s bloodline and means of survival. 2 3 16
The transformed clan sustained itself by raising Blood Slaves, absorbing human blood essence, and cultivating with moonlight. Over centuries, Yin Tianjue expanded it through alliances and strategy into a major force feared by Western dark powers while remaining unaccepted by the Eastern Cultivation World. 2 3
Following the return of spiritual energy, the Yin Clan openly established city-states in what was formerly Germany, accumulating Blood Slaves and preparing larger ambitions. Its city-state is shielded by a Blood Mist Barrier and is considerably larger than Fanlu'er City. 7 35
Organization
Generational hierarchy
| Generation / Group | Role within the clan |
|---|---|
| Heaven Generation | Senior elders who largely remain in slumber; the generation includes the nine Supreme Elders. 28 29 |
| Earth Generation | The Elder Council, which decides major disputes, directs development, and handles diplomacy with powerful Blood Demon families. 29 |
| Nameless Generation | Powerful members in a period of rapid advancement who commonly cultivate in seclusion. 29 48 |
| Extreme Generation | Administrators of the clan’s practical authority, including hall masters, commanders, and chief stewards. 29 48 |
| Young Disciples | Under-eighteen disciples trained through the Children’s Hall and evaluated through cultivation and combat. 2 3 |
Major institutions
- Children’s Hall / Legacy Law Hall — Trains all young disciples under eighteen in cultivation, secret techniques, and clan doctrine. 2
- Elder Council — Highest governing body of the Earth Generation. 29
- Blood War Hall — Controls the clan’s external armed forces; Yin Jiwu served as its hall master. 23
- Internal Affairs Hall — Manages internal affairs, Blood Servants, Blood Slaves, city-state construction, and internal guards. 29
- Merit Hall — Records contributions and distributes Merit Jade Slips or other rewards. 29
- External Affairs Hall — Handles external missions and maintains operatives beyond the city-state. 7 22
Society and Customs
The Yin Clan’s hierarchy is explicitly based on power, bloodline, contribution, and practical value. Stronger members receive greater authority, cultivation resources, estates, guards, and Blood Servants, while weak or politically unsupported members can be ignored or discarded. 25 30
The clan has great difficulty reproducing because of the yin-cold nature of its Blood Demon Physique; a new generation is produced only about once per century on average. 6
Blood Servants and Blood Slaves are treated as resources. Their blood is necessary to neutralize the clan’s internal yin-cold energy, support cultivation, and permit normal survival and reproduction. 2 6 Captured humans are registered, divided by perceived usefulness, and assigned to labor, breeding, or blood-production roles. 1 42
Ancestral Worship Grand Ceremony
The annual Lunar New Year ancestral worship determines and publicly displays a member’s standing. Entry into the Ancestral Temple marks someone as a core clan member; exclusion can cause followers and allies to abandon the disgraced individual. 28
The ceremony is followed by a martial demonstration and competition, reflecting the clan’s Eastern cultivation origins despite its Blood Demon transformation. 30
Abilities & Cultivation
Blood Demon Physique
Yin Clan power is stored in and derived from blood. Young Disciples advance by consuming blood essence and absorbing moonlight until they condense Blood Demon Essence Blood in their hearts. 3
- The first condensed drop of cyan Essence Blood promotes a Young Disciple to a Star Warrior. 3
- Additional Essence Blood increases a warrior’s strength; one hundred drops mark Star Warrior grand perfection. 6
- Blood Demon bodies can rapidly recover from injuries by recalling spilled blood and using blood essence and Blood Flame. 3
- Ordinary members are highly vulnerable to sunlight and rely on the Blood Mist Barrier or portable protective artifacts when operating by day. 5 37
Moonlight Cultivation
Moonlit nights—especially full moons—greatly increase Yin Clan cultivation speed and combat power. Members absorb moonlight essence to strengthen their bodies, blood energy, and souls. 1
- Fresh blood is normally required to counteract the cold yin energy produced by moonlight cultivation. 2 6
- The Blood Mist Barrier is lowered at night to allow moonlight into the city-state. 1 5
- Elite members can manifest Natal Bat Wings, granting aerial mobility and enhancing their Blood Demon abilities. 23 27
Blood Arts and Blood Skills
Upon becoming formal warriors, clan members may awaken bloodline techniques. Close-combat techniques are called Blood Skills, while ranged spells are called Blood Arts. 6
- Blood Skills can enhance physical attacks, movement, claws, and weapon strikes. 6 22
- Blood Arts include large-scale fire, blood mist, blood flame, and blood lightning techniques. 30 39
- The Yin Clan combines its preserved Eastern cultivation knowledge with Blood Demon techniques into a distinct Blood Law System. 39
Assets and Military Forces
- Blood Mist Barrier — A city-spanning crimson barrier that protects ordinary clan members from lethal sunlight. 1 5
- Blood Nests — Secret facilities used to raise vast numbers of Blood Slaves; their locations and scale are restricted even from powerful clan officials. 42
- Blood Puppets — Heavy-armored assault monsters created through Western puppetry and Eastern corpse-refinement arts; they are sunlight-resistant, exceptionally strong, durable, and regenerative. 33
- Flying Magic Chariots — Armored transport vehicles pulled by Night Netherblood Leopards and used to deploy armed Yin Clan warriors. 1 33
- Unicorn Blood Beasts — Demonic mounts used by Blood Servant Warriors and clan cavalry. 1 33
- Hell Three-Headed Dragon Eagles — Flying war beasts deployed to attack cities with fire. 33 36
- Portable Blood Mist Barriers — Blood-red orbs that allow clan members to move and fight in sunlight. 37
- Hybrid crystal weaponry — The clan combines human artillery and explosives with cultivation crystals and talismans, producing weapons with major destructive power. 34 35
Relationships
- Yin Tianjue — Founder and supreme Grand Elder; led the clan’s transformation into Blood Demons and directs its highest policy. 2 24
- Yin Tianmie — Second Supreme Elder and head of the Xuan Yin Palace branch; oversees major ceremonies and supports his direct descendant Yin Xuege. 28 32
- Jiang Clan — Eastern cultivation clan allied with Yin Xuege; its arrival is viewed by Yin elders as an opportunity to return to the clan’s Eastern ancestral land. 21 33
- Stuttgart Family — Blood Demon family allied with the Yin Clan during the assault on the Great Berlin City-State. 43 42
- Blood Demon clan — Regards the Yin Clan as outsiders and aberrations because the clan obtained its Blood Demon Physique through stolen Saint Blood. 12
- Great Berlin City-State — Major human adversary targeted for intelligence, territorial encroachment, Blood Slave raids, and eventual large-scale invasion. 7 33 45
- Eastern Cultivation World — The Yin Clan’s original homeland and source of its surviving cultivation traditions, but a world that does not accept the clan. 3 39
Story Role / Major Arcs
Blood Slave raids and internal hierarchy
The clan is introduced returning from a hunt with tens of thousands of captured humans, who are processed as prospective Blood Slaves. At the same time, its treatment of Yin Xuege demonstrates the harsh divide between favored direct descendants, collateral members, and enslaved humans. 1 2
Recognition of Yin Xuege's value
After Yin Xuege reveals himself as a Sunwalker, the elders reverse their earlier indifference and provide him resources, authority equivalent to an Earth Generation elder, the Blood Show Palace, and eight powerful stewards. Their support is motivated by his exceptional potential and value to the clan. 24 25 26
Martial arts competition
The clan uses its New Year martial arts competition to assess Yin Xuege’s worthiness for continued investment. After he wins, he receives the Blood Spirit Sword, while Yin Jiwu is punished and stripped of half his innate essence blood. 30 31 32
'Startled Insects' Operation and the Fanlu'er campaign
The elders appoint Yin Xuege to lead an unprecedented hunting party against Great Berlin territory, including one hundred Flying Magic Chariots, thirty thousand Blood Servant Warriors, and elite Yin Clan troops. The objective is to seize Blood Servants and Blood Slaves while expanding the clan’s influence. 33
The campaign breaches Fanlu'er City, defeats its defenders, captures hundreds of thousands of civilians, and seizes food, metals, precious metals, and other resources. 34 36 42
Assault on Great Berlin City-State
The Yin Clan later joins allied Blood Demon forces in a direct attack on the Great Berlin City-State. Though many members are trapped by the Six Harmonies Killing Formation, the formation is eventually dismantled; the clan captures the central treasury and takes Fainlan prisoner. 45 48 50
