"You bunch of ungrateful, foul bats! You can't do this! Old Jack died for you! You have to give us an explanation!"

"How laughable!" Farnburg sneered with a laugh. He had been gathering power for a long time and was just about to launch the black-and-red mist in his hand.

"A lowly, insignificant ant actually dares to provoke us, the mighty! What is he shouting about? Could it be that he truly has some connection to the Yin Clan? But he's nothing more than a lowly ant!"

Yin Xuege lowered his head. He saw Little Jack's face clearly and heard his shouted words just as clearly. Old Jack was dead? And the people beside Little Jack were dead too? Yin Xuege recalled what had happened when he encountered them in the Great Berlin City-State a little over a month, almost two months, ago!

Yin Xuege was still quite curious about Little Jack, who could control the power of fire.

"He's someone I know!" Yin Xuege beat his Natal Bat Wings and slowly descended from the sky. Farnburg raised his brows in surprise, then nonchalantly withdrew his right hand. He turned to look toward the core region of the Great Berlin City-State and muttered under his breath.

"All right, he's a human who doesn't know how high the heavens are or how deep the earth is. Whether we kill him or not is no big deal! But where have all the experts of the Great Berlin City-State gone? Could the Jiang Clan have taken them away? I say, Yin Tianjue, does your Yin Clan really have nothing to do with the Jiang Clan? Jiang Tuochen rescued Yin Xuege from the Blood Prison, and then they took away every expert in the Great Berlin City-State!"

Farnburg glanced back at Yin Tianjue, who had just arrived, and let out a strange laugh. "Why do I feel like you're working together to set someone up?"

Yin Tianjue hovered in midair, likewise staring at the Great Berlin City-State, which had been thrown into chaos, utterly baffled. Where had all the experts in the city gone? Had the Jiang Clan really taken them away? Could it be that the Jiang Clan had dug a pit and lured the people of the Great Berlin City-State into it?

But that made no sense. The Jiang Clan couldn't possibly be so bored as to come all the way to the West and stir up this inexplicable mess, could they?

"Enough of that. Since they refuse to come out, we'll go in!" Yin Tianjue gave a cold laugh, then tore open the vein in his wrist with one claw. A great quantity of dark golden-red blood gushed out.

"Heaven and Earth Limitless, Blood Sea Universe! Upper Clarity Origin Heaven One Qi, Primordial Creation Blood Lightning!" Yin Tianjue murmured the incantation, his hands moving rapidly as he drew the blood flowing from his body into a gigantic lightning talisman a hundred meters long.

"Prince Farnburg, please take a look! This is a secret Blood Arts technique our Yin Clan created after studying the Eastern lightning arts and spending hundreds of years of painstaking effort!" Yin Tianjue looked rather pleased as he watched Farnburg stand dumbfounded. "The Upper Clarity Lightning Arts—this is the true inheritance of the lightning arts from the Eastern Cultivation World. Back then, our Yin Clan sacrificed hundreds of disciples before obtaining the true formula!"

He lightly shook both hands downward. The enormous lightning talisman howled as it transformed into a blood-red lightning orb a hundred meters in diameter and shot into the sky.

Accompanied by muffled thunder, blood-red lightning clouds, twisted and coiling like horned dragons, came howling from all directions. In the blink of an eye, they gathered above this section of the wall into a blood-red vortex of clouds, nine layers above and below and ten li in diameter.

A heavenly pressure that made it impossible to breathe or move descended from above. Within the blood-red lightning clouds, the fleeting silhouette of some indescribably wondrous creature could faintly be seen. As its two enormous wings gently stirred, a deafening peal of thunder erupted. The ground within a radius of ten li violently jolted, and countless cracks suddenly ripped across its surface.

A dark-red bolt of lightning as thick as a water vat fell from the sky. Around that lightning fire, which stretched more than a li, countless lightning fragments the size of human heads came crashing down in wild disarray. Farnburg's face twisted in shock as he stared in horror at the bolt descending from the heavens, then striking the astonishingly sturdy defensive barrier of the Great Berlin City-State with pinpoint accuracy!

The defensive barrier, which had withstood more than twenty waves of Mortar Cannon bombardment, shattered with a thunderous boom. Several defensive-tower structures in the distance collapsed, while a section of metal city wall over a li long, a hundred meters high, and fifty meters thick was blasted to pieces within the lightning. The shattered metal wall melted beneath the lightning fire's tremendous heat, and countless streams of molten iron sprayed in every direction with a howl. Some of the molten iron even burned fiercely, drawing blinding white streaks of light through the air.

The scene before them looked just like doomsday had descended, with countless stars plunging from the heavens. It filled people with an inexplicable despair, stirring the urge to stop living altogether.

Farnburg's lips moved for a while, but he could not utter a word.

The secret arts of the Blood Demon Clan mostly followed sinister, mysterious paths, emphasizing silent, imperceptible erosion. Farnburg's Song of Decay followed precisely such a path. Though its power was immense, it likewise relied on erosion and devouring.

But the Yin Clan's lightning arts were simply an aberration among the Blood Demon Clan! Such fierce and domineering lightning arts—how could they resemble a secret art that Blood Demons should possess?

"Children, charge in! Since they refuse to come out, we'll go in!" Yin Tianjue shrieked sharply, swinging both hands forward with tremendous force!

The earth trembled, and muffled footsteps rolled in. Those attacking the collapsed section of wall were not merely the small force Yin Xuege had brought out. An unending army charging the Great Berlin City-State numbered more than three hundred thousand!

Only a little over ten thousand of them were members of the Yin Clan. The rest were Blood Demon warriors sent by the Yin Clan's vassal lineages, while an even greater number were the Blood Servant armies of the Yin Clan and those vassal lineages. Among them were even a hundred thousand soldiers and militia from Fanlu'er City—their families had all been taken hostage by the Yin Clan, and they had been forced to raise their weapons against the humans of the Great Berlin City-State.

Yin Xuege ignored the uproar outside. He hovered a foot above the ground in front of Little Jack, then broke into a delighted smile.

"Little Jack, you're still alive? That's wonderful! Follow me from now on! Where are Old Jack and the others?"

Little Jack tightened his grip on the spear in his hand. He stared at Yin Xuege with a complicated expression for a while, then suddenly dropped to one knee before him.

"Help me get revenge. Help me kill Bright and Fennice, that pair of dog-couple bastards. Help me slaughter all the executioners in the Great Berlin City-State's Public Security Bureau, and I'll sell you my life!"

"Old Jack and the others are dead. Every one of my companions is dead! Before Old Jack died, he didn't reveal a single word about you! He died for you! So you must avenge them!"

Yin Xuege stared blankly at Little Jack. Then he raised the Blood Spirit Sword and drove it through Little Jack's heart.

"As you wish! What you want, I grant you! From now on, your life and your soul belong to me!"

A drop of blood radiating dazzling silver light flowed from Yin Xuege's fingertip and traveled along the Blood Spirit Sword into Little Jack's body.
