Crisis

In the dim space, Huang Hao was not as panicked as before. Instead, he was somewhat used to it.

"To keep me from getting out, just how large did you make this space?"

As Huang Hao tried other ways to escape, he even casually struck up a conversation with the Honkai Will. However, the cold sweat on his body and the power he continuously used with his hands still betrayed the panic in his heart.

Even though there was nothing in the space, that voice still rang out: "Give up. This was made from your own energy. I even helped you gather up the energy that had dispersed."

After a long period of effort—bombardment—the space remained completely unharmed, as though the space from before had never existed. Huang Hao could only stop in silence and listen to what else the Honkai Will might say.

However, Huang Hao waited for a long time without hearing the Honkai Will speak again. After thinking it over, he said, "It seems the Honkai Will can't stay here for too long either. So what should I do now?"

With everything blocked off, Huang Hao could not find any way to escape. He could only keep sending messages, praying that one would get through, while beginning to meditate and recover some strength so that he could start fighting the moment he got out.

While resting, Huang Hao sensed another power flowing nearby, and the surrounding scene began to change...

Because Angela was highly connected to Huang Hao's mind, she immediately noticed something was wrong when the mental connection was severed. Under normal circumstances, even if her father were killed by an enemy, they could still communicate normally in the void. This was the first time she had encountered a situation like this.

Clearly, Angela did not know that her father had been imprisoned, but she knew danger had arrived, especially since they had communicated beforehand.

Angela immediately went out to look for the others. More importantly, she needed to determine what had happened, even if she already had a general idea.

Angela soon arrived at Mobius's laboratory. Because of Huang Hao's earlier warning, it was already empty. Officially, it had been transferred to Angela, but everyone knew that this was merely to give Mobius a legitimate reason to move out. No one had expected it to come in handy.

The monitoring equipment here was no worse than that of the other observation centers. It could be said that this was where she could obtain information the fastest. Angela immediately began searching, but since Huang Hao had teleported away, she found no traces of him. However, the sight she least wanted to see still appeared.

"Why is there such a powerful concentration of Honkai Energy over in the city?"

Angela stared nervously at the densely packed readings of Honkai Energy on the monitor. Before she realized it, cold sweat had already run down her face. She quickly regained her composure and returned to the headquarters she visited most often.

Once the teleportation ended, Angela sensed the noise and chaos before the flames around her had even dispersed. Then she heard the sound of an alarm.

Angela thought silently, It seems I'm not the only one who noticed. But what exactly happened to Father?

Amid the piercing alarm, Angela felt someone pat her on the shoulder. When she turned around, she saw Pardofelis.

Angela said, "Pardofelis, what are you doing here?"

Pardofelis said, "Officer Angela, I feel awful..."

Pardofelis was dazed, her face flushed, and her body swaying unsteadily. She was a Fusion Warrior now, too, so Angela had no idea how she had gotten sick.

Seeing Pardofelis in such a state, and finding herself among these ordinary warriors because of the teleportation, Angela was overwhelmed with sympathy. She gave her some medicine and transferred a small amount of energy into her.

Although Angela knew Pardofelis would be one of the survivors in the future, their positions still kept them apart. At most, they could be considered ordinary friends. Even so, she transferred Pardofelis to another location.

"Pardofelis, sneak over to the Mu Continent. Because Father's energy has dispersed, there isn't any Honkai Energy there, so it's very safe."

Pardofelis did not seem to know whether she had heard. She merely nodded and staggered away. However, when Angela saw her walking along the wall and facing it the entire time, she knew Pardofelis had not understood. Angela secretly used her abilities to find someone else and asked them to transfer Pardofelis onto one of the ships evacuating civilians, sending her away.

After sending her off, Angela also found Pardofelis's illness strange. Why would a Fusion Warrior get sick? But she had no time to think about it and left at once.
