Arc 1Ghost Island Awakening

Jing Yang awakened in a child’s body on Ghost Island, developed his Nen ability Song of the Earth, and survived by controlling animals and people while investigating his new world. As Kakin, Ochima, Ging, Menchi, and other Hunters converged on the island, Jing Yang kept watching them and left for Slaughterhouse Dock after smelling blood.

  • Jing Yang awoke among corpses and Wild Wolves, discovered he could control one with a pentagram mark, and was carried from danger by a glowing tiger.
  • Jing Yang confirmed through Water Divination that he was a Manipulator, named his ability Star Mark, and took control of Muser after Muser shot him.

Jing Yang joined Menchi and Shizuku to investigate Ghost Island, where they uncovered a royal tomb and learned about its bound spirit. After leaving the island, a terrorist attack flooded Jing Yang with Death Qi and triggered a secret physical transformation that he promised to resolve.

  • Jing Yang trained Ken, developed Bright Moon, and joined Menchi to investigate Blanche Company’s protected area with Shizuku.
  • Jing Yang defeated Shizuku at arm wrestling, gave her the Blue Moon Pearl, and named her Yi, the first member of Dawn.
  • Jing Yang’s group found Divine Characters in the forest and entered a tomb, where they encountered Ging Freecss’s warning and the resentful spirit Nastie Hui Guo Rou.

After surviving the crash and reaching Greed Island, they were expelled to different places and arranged to reunite, while Jing Yang tested his strength at the Zoldyck estate’s Trial Gate.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku trained their Nen, ordered custom rings for Akatsuki, and noticed Rui Wan following them.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku boarded an airship with Pariston and members of the Phantom Troupe, where Pariston killed Okjeski with Secret Room Swimming Fish.
