Jing Yang and Shizuku traveled to the Ancient Gukang Jade Country, where Jing Yang developed his healing abilities, trained with Biscuit, and treated Battra’s beloved. The arc left Jing Yang with thirty Greed Island consoles and ready to investigate the game and Battra’s feelings about aging.

• Jing Yang and his companions reached the Ancient Gukang Jade Country after surviving a sea storm, then learned they had missed Hunter Exam registration.
• Jing Yang explored Death God's Eye, gathered Death Qi, and began developing an Aura-based healing technique while Shizuku accompanied him.
• Jing Yang and Shizuku used the Star Mark to heal patients at local hospitals, and Jing Yang later treated Chrollo’s paralyzed father with Nine Yang True Aura.
• Hisoka attacked Jing Yang and Shizuku, then left after they resisted his gum-like Aura.
• Jing Yang trained Chrollo and fought Zushi before Biscuit joined them and taught Jing Yang and Shizuku about Nen cultivation.
• Jing Yang and Shizuku traveled with Biscuit to Battra’s medical center, where Jing Yang restored Battra’s beloved and accepted thirty Greed Island game sets as payment.
• Battra took Jing Yang’s group to his cliffside castle and showed them the thirty consoles, and Jing Yang let Zushi enter the game before taking Battra and the others into a Flying Star Bubble to question Battra about aging.

Jing Yang entered Greed Island with Shizuku and Biscuit, pursuing training, answers about the game, and a chance to settle things with Razor. After developing the Taoist Nun Nen beast and finding Razor’s lighthouse, Jing Yang freed Battra’s former game-clearing group from the Bomber’s bombs and continued into the woods.

• Jing Yang entered Greed Island with Shizuku, Biscuit, Wu Er, and Rock Sparrow, learned the card rules, and set out toward the designers’ castle while looking for Zushi and a way to challenge Razor.
• Jing Yang’s group found Zushi fatally injured, but his body vanished before Jing Yang could mark him, leading Jing Yang and Biscuit to suspect that Zushi’s Specialist ability had let him survive at a great cost.
• Biscuit trained Jing Yang and Shizuku in Nen, while Jing Yang tested the island’s boundaries, raised his Nen potential, and began creating a Nen beast based on a second brain.
• Jing Yang completed the jade-faced Taoist Nun Nen beast, which could draw named allies into its sleeve, and tested how its ability worked with Biscuit, Shizuku, Wu Er, and a wounded bird.
• Jing Yang tracked Razor to Lighthouse Fortress, but found the stadium empty and concluded that he needed more players to trigger Razor’s team-sport challenge.
• Ganshu’s former targets approached Jing Yang’s group with bombs attached, and Biscuit determined that the Bomber involved at least three people with different Nen abilities.
• Jing Yang put the bombed players to sleep with Star Mark, and the Taoist Nun used the Nen-Drinking Sword to exorcise their bombs before Jing Yang sent them to Shoufulabi and continued into the woods.

Jing Yang’s Greed Island quest was interrupted when DICE scattered him and his companions across dangerous locations, bringing him into the Zoldyck family’s conflict over Alluka and Nanika. After reuniting with Shizuku, he set out to find Biscuit and left Netero checking on her.

• Jing Yang trained with Biscuit, refined his Nen, and demonstrated the Jade-faced Nun’s ability to store other people’s powers in talismans.
• Jing Yang led his team against Razor in a contest for the A Square Inch of Coastline card, and Biscuit helped secure their victory in dodgeball.
• Ganshu confronted Jing Yang after the match, but Jing Yang took the Bomber trio’s cards before DICE activated Greed Island’s hidden stage and separated the group.
• Jing Yang encountered Alluka and Killua at the Zoldyck estate, fulfilled Alluka’s requests, and helped the family learn about Nanika’s identity and wishes.
• Shizuku escaped the Maritime Science Department with Menchi, while Jing Yang and his companions became caught up in events involving Leorio, Xiao Yun, and the Fanged Moon Tiger.
• Jing Yang accepted Silva’s contract to kill a Spider, and Menchi later brought Shizuku back to him after their cooking contests.
• Jing Yang reunited with Shizuku at the World Tree summit, then asked Menchi to take them to Netero and check on Biscuit.
• Netero agreed to call about Biscuit after Jing Yang noticed Kurolo leaving the Chairman’s office and asked him to check on her before sparring.

Jing Yang confronted the Phantom Troupe alongside Kurapika, then returned to Wuzhuang Temple and developed a new Nen ability. The group entered Kakin’s royal orbit before setting out for the Hunter Exam, where their first trial began aboard a hijacked bus.

• Netero searched for Biscuit while Jing Yang trained with Shizuku and Menchi, and later suspected Biscuit had been sent to Meteor City.
• Jing Yang and Kurapika tracked the Phantom Troupe in Vajiras, where Jing Yang captured Pakunoda and fought the Spiders while Kurapika confronted Chrollo.
• Kurapika captured Chrollo in the Abyss and imposed vows on him, but Chrollo escaped, while Biscuit returned with her severed arm restored by her Star Mark.
• Jing Yang’s group returned to Battra’s castle, killed Ganshu and the other Bombers, and renamed the castle Wuzhuang Temple.
• Jing Yang developed the Purple Gold Gourd, which drained and refined Nen Aura, and tested its summoning ability with Kurapika, Shizuku, and Menchi.
• At a banquet for Kakin’s royal family, Jing Yang and Kurapika discussed helping each other investigate the princes, while Camilla watched Jing Yang.
• Menchi joined Jing Yang, Shizuku, Kurapika, and Machi on the journey to the Hunter Exam, where a scarred bandit seized their bus and Shizuku spotted a hollow-eyed girl among the remaining passengers.
