Realm Hierarchy
Immortal Kings stand above True Immortals and represent the foremost combat power active across the Immortal Realm, Other Domain, and Sea of Worlds. A True Immortal is described as insignificant before an Immortal King, while the Quasi-Immortal Emperor realm exceeds the King Realm by an equally overwhelming margin 240 264 297.
| Realm / Designation | Position | Documented distinction |
|---|---|---|
| True Immortal | Below Immortal King | Even True Immortals are portrayed as unable to contend with an Immortal King’s power 240. |
| Immortal King | Core king-tier realm | A realm sought by countless beings; its cultivators are no longer touched by ordinary laws after their breakthrough 273. |
| Peak Immortal King | Advanced king-tier designation | Yuan Chu and Ao Sheng are identified as peak Immortal Kings, yet remain far below Giants 280 283. |
| Immortal King Giant | Above peak Immortal King | Shi Jue’s Giant-level strength allows him to suppress peak Immortal Kings decisively 280 283. |
| Emperor Light Immortal King | Higher king-tier threshold | Reaching this realm would make it easier for Shi Jue to defeat multiple Immortal King Giants 276. |
| Quasi-Immortal Emperor | Beyond the King Realm | A realm so difficult that even ancient King-level elites such as Butcher failed to reach it over immense spans of time 297. |
Characteristics
Immortal King Physique and Origin
An Immortal King’s body can endure the erosion of time and exist eternally. Their vitality does not depend solely on their physical form: decapitation is insufficient to kill them as long as their origin remains intact 276 284.
- Their Immortal King Primordial Spirits are described as exceptionally difficult to destroy 283 284.
- An Immortal King can still be killed if both body and Primordial Spirit are completely ground away or erased by overwhelming power 283 284.
- Shi Jue’s Great Millstone of Heaven and Earth crushes Yuan Chu’s Immortal King body and gradually erodes his Primordial Spirit, demonstrating a method capable of permanently killing a King 283 284.
Authority Over Laws
Immortal Kings can influence heaven-and-earth laws, karma, and time through their cultivation.
- Ao Sheng’s furious declaration becomes imprinted in the laws of heaven and earth, though he cannot personally deduce karma involving another Immortal King 278.
- Shi Jue’s breakthrough manifests the River of Time around him; ordinary laws can no longer touch him 273.
- King-level battles can fracture the River of Time and cause the Great Dao itself to fade temporarily 283 303.
- Their pressure can incapacitate weaker cultivators: Ao Sheng’s killing intent forces Supreme Beings to cough blood and leaves only True Immortals of his clan conscious 278.
Immortal King-Level Combat
Immortal Kings are not equal in strength. The gap between minor king-tier stages is portrayed as vast, with Immortal King Giants able to treat peak Kings as powerless opponents 283.
- Shi Jue judges that an Immortal King Giant could destroy the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands 244.
- A single Immortal King’s attention is considered a grave danger to Imperial Pass and the Nine Heavens 232.
- Even several Immortal Kings acting together may be unable to overcome a stronger opponent; Qing Xuan’s Black Flame sea restrains six Kings at once 283.
- Only Quasi-Immortal Emperor-level cultivators are considered genuine threats to Shi Jue after he reaches the upper Immortal King tiers 291.

Role in the Realms
- The Other Domain is stated to possess nearly ten Immortal Kings on the surface, giving it a major advantage over the divided forces of the Nine Heavens, Ten Lands, and Immortal Realm 192.
- The Immortal Realm’s Kings are divided among factions and historically failed to unite against the Other Domain; some even participated in the ambush that caused Liu Shen’s fall 192.
- Immortal Kings are regarded as top-tier combatants during outbreaks of darkness, and the death of even one is considered a serious loss to the Immortal Realm 278.
- The return of Liu Shen alongside Shi Jue and Shi Hao alters the balance of power enough to make the Other Domain withdraw rather than risk a full-scale war 289.
