Dean Diss and his team confronted the man behind Lewenholm’s deaths, only for Death Plague Knight Rotvis to emerge through him. Meanwhile, the burning corpses triggered a citywide spread of death, leaving Yi Chen and the others facing an outbreak they could not prevent.

• Dean Diss, Vice Dean Ayvat, and Captain Brogg entered the skull-lined passage and found a citizen empowered by the last breaths of suicide victims.
• The citizen explained how he had embraced death after being denied treatment and accused the organization of neglecting ordinary people.
• Dean Diss rejected the citizen’s claims and burned him to ashes, but he re-formed from deathly energy.
• A black dagger opened a temporary passage to the Old World, allowing Death Plague Knight Rotvis to enter through the citizen’s body.

Jin Almeida returned from the Old World after achieving a Limit Break, learned William had gone back to Zion, and headed toward a spreading Black Fog to face the death creature there.

• Regan used the Charge Zone’s particles and his Prototyper abilities to rebuild Fei’s Mind Field, awakening her as an independent life-form.
• Overcome with emotion at Fei’s revival, Regan shattered his Limit Membrane and became a Transcendent Human, then thanked William for helping him take this step.
• After leaving the Power Station, Regan’s Heavenly Psyche revealed a blurry black cross on the horizon, and he wondered whether William was in danger.
• Jin Almeida returned to Holy Grail Mountain, clashed with Olman Yude, and learned that William Berens had already returned to Zion.

• Yi Chen covered his eyes and used the blind-striking techniques he had learned from Zede to navigate toward the hospital with Barry.
• Yi Chen asked Barry to avoid relying on his eyes, and Barry explained that his Heavy Knight ability let him bind and recall heavy equipment.
• Barry used his shield to disrupt birds forming a Death Symbol, then hurled his Mithril Hammer to destroy a family of death-infected people leaping from a house.

While Lewenholm fell to the Death Plague, Idrissa Marin fled his revived companion Lina into the abandoned Stone Statue Graveyard. Its temporary administrator, Little Grape, killed Lina, compelled Marin to find William Berens, and left him with an absolute command to bring William back alive or dead.

• Idrissa Marin ran to the unattended Stone Statue Graveyard as Lina, revived by the Death Plague, pursued him.
• Little Grape offered Marin protection in exchange for one of his eyes, and Marin gave up his left eye.
• Little Grape revealed his eyeball-covered face, killed Lina with a glance, and destroyed her body with the Curse Finger Gun.
• Little Grape noticed a black thread connected to the Old World and worried that the Death Plague could spread through the city.

Yi Chen and Barry joined another squad to fight the Gentleman Dead in Sunshine Hotel, where Yi Chen discovered he could absorb their Breath of Death Plague. After convincing the others that his ability came from Doctor Visari, Yi Chen led the hotel purge while absorbing more of the deathly aura.

• Barry insisted on going to Sunshine Hotel to help the gentlemen inside, and Yi Chen agreed after securing Barry's promise to withdraw if the danger became too great.
• Yi Chen and Barry joined another gentleman squad and reached the hotel, where they saw a Gentleman Dead attacking a man in the entrance hall.

• Rotvis ordered the resurrected Aivart to find and kill a young human absorbing the Breath of Death Plague.
• Dean Diss used Sun Sprout to attack Rotvis, but Rotvis destroyed the solar vines and the resurrected Aivart escaped.
• Yi Chen and eight other limit-reaching gentlemen purged the dead throughout Sunshine Hotel, with William drawing out the Breath of Death Plague from their wounds.

• At the hotel, Joseph vanished from the gentlemen’s circle, and Yi Chen analyzed how someone could remove people without breaking their connected Gentlemen’s Attire.

• Vice Dean Ayvat decapitated Barry, and Yi Chen accepted that he could not escape or defeat him.
• Ayvat hanged Yi Chen and implanted a Death Symbol, while the death plague began transcribing Yi Chen’s memories and uncovered Black Liquid in his hippocampus.

Little Grape led an expanding army of eyeballs to the Sunshine Hotel to rescue William, only to discover that the silver-haired fighter battling the Dead was William himself. Little Grape joined the fight by lending William his eyes, allowing him to track the Dead’s movements and threads.

• Little Grape used an evil formation to gather eyeballs from corpses across the city and lead an army toward the Sunshine Hotel.
• The eye tide overwhelmed Dead and frightened nearby gentlemen, growing enormously as it approached the hotel.
• A Surgical Line cut through the army, and Little Grape saw two figures fighting inside the hotel.
• Little Grape mistook the silver-haired William for someone else until William called for his help, and Little Grape blocked a Surgical Line with a stone coffin.
• Little Grape’s eyeballs flowed into William, sharpening his vision so he could track the Dead and its threads.

Yi Chen and Little Grape joined forces against Vice Dean Ayvat, but Ayvat evaded their attacks as Yi Chen’s death form began to fail. Little Grape sealed them both inside a stone coffin, leaving an eyeless corpse in their place and Yi Chen’s whereabouts unknown.

• Little Grape explained how he had gained power from Stone Statue Graveyard, while Yi Chen described his death form and the danger Vice Dean Ayvat posed.
• Yi Chen and Little Grape linked themselves with chains and attacked Ayvat together, using stone coffins, an axe, and gunfire, but Ayvat dodged every attack.
• As Yi Chen’s body began to break down and his remaining time dwindled, Ayvat waited for his death form to end and planned to turn him into a dead person.
• Little Grape raised a stone coffin around Yi Chen and himself, then Ayvat cut it open and found only an eyeless corpse inside.

Yi Chen used a graveyard illusion and a carefully staged search to kill Vice Dean Aivart and absorb his concentrated Breath of Death Plague. As Yi Chen collapsed and tried to leave with Little Grape, Lotsen and Old Mr. Hervoye arrived and called him the best vessel.

• Little Grape attacked Lotsen and Hervoye, but the Blood Baron stopped it with a giant blood hand and crushed most of its eyes.
• Yi Chen deduced that Lotsen and the Blood Baron shared Hervoye's body and intended to invade his body and take his memories and Diseased Traits.

Jin fought Lotsen after he attacked Yi Chen, but Lotsen escaped her first assault and was repeatedly crushed by a newly arrived young man. As Lotsen tried to fight back, a cable-armed figure appeared behind him and crushed his head.

• Jin set Yi Chen by the hotel entrance and confronted Lotsen, who decided to seize Yi Chen despite Baron urging him to retreat.
• Lotsen unleashed a blood tide and tried to spirit Yi Chen away, but Jin identified his attack and cut through him and the hotel floors with a single slash.
• Lotsen split into clones and fled through the hotel, while Jin pursued and cleansed the sepsis infecting her.
• Lotsen escaped to the rooftop, but a brown-haired young man used Mental Power to slam him back into the lobby and repeatedly flatten his regenerating body.
• Lotsen attacked the young man, but a cable-armed figure appeared behind him and crushed his head.

After Regan and Miss Fei defeated Lotsen, Yi Chen escaped Lewenholm with Regan and Jin as Reaper Rotvis unleashed a deadly Black Fog across the city. The carriage broke through the fog, but Lewenholm was left transformed into a City of the Dead, with Yi Chen having inhaled the Black Fog to help the others survive.

• Miss Fei killed Lotsen, ending the hotel incident, and Regan urged Yi Chen to leave Lewenholm with him.
• Yi Chen asked Jin to retrieve a headless corpse, and the group boarded a Power Station carriage with Barry Besarius's corpse hidden inside.
