Arima Shizuya entered the Wandenreich with Uryū Ishida, gained Yhwach’s favor, and secretly passed the invasion plans to Soul Society. As the Quincy attacked, allies in Hueco Mundo and Soul Society prepared to resist, while Yhwach confronted Aizen Sōsuke and Äs Nödt engaged the Sixth Division.

• After Arima Shizuya was executed, he accepted the Wandenreich Proof from the Ishida family and entered the hidden Quincy world with Uryū Ishida.
• Arima Shizuya defeated Kirge Opie’s attempt to take his power, then met Yhwach, who accepted him and Uryū Ishida into the Wandenreich.
• Yhwach gave Uryū Ishida the Schrift Antithesis and Arima Shizuya the Schrift D, Dominate, then named them Royal Guard and ordered an invasion of Soul Society.
• Arima Shizuya secretly told Kisuke Urahara about the Quincy invasion plans and refused Urahara’s offer to help him leave the Wandenreich.
• Kyōraku Shunsui asked Aizen Sōsuke to help defend Soul Society, while Urahara asked Kurosaki Ichigo to assist with Arima’s task.
• As the invasion began, Ichigo fought Quincy forces in Hueco Mundo, where Ichimaru Gin and Tōsen Kaname had prepared a counterattack with Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez and Arima Shizuya.
• Ulquiorra Cifer killed Driscoll Berci before he could steal Chōjirō Sasakibe’s Bankai, while Kyōraku Shunsui ordered the captains to take the Shadow Infiltration Pill.
• Yhwach confronted Aizen Sōsuke in Muken Hell and left after Aizen refused his offer, while Äs Nödt attacked Abarai Renji and Kuchiki Byakuya intervened.

The Shinigami fought the invading Quincies as Yamamoto faced Yhwach and Arima Shizuya intervened. Arima defeated Yhwach at great cost to himself, while Yhwach’s remains vanished in black vapor.

• Byakuya, Soi Fon, Komamura, and Hitsugaya prepared to release Bankai, while Renji organized rescues and defenses and Shunsui fought Robert with Nanao’s help.
• Starrk and Shunsui defeated Mask De Masculine and James, while Mayuri and Szayelaporro fought Gremi, whose reality-altering power ultimately destroyed him.
• Hitsugaya defeated Cang Du, Byakuya urged Renji to marry Rukia and succeed him as captain, and Kenpachi fought through the Quincy forces before Yhwach defeated him.
• Yamamoto fought Yhwach with Bankai, but Yhwach revealed that Loyd Lloyd had impersonated him and used a Star Badge to strip Yamamoto of his power.
• Arima blocked Yhwach’s attempt to kill Yamamoto, reunited with his Hollow half, and used Dominate to collapse Yhwach’s Star Badge before taking Ryūjin Jakka.
• Arima fought Yhwach but refused to unleash Ryūjin Jakka at the risk of destroying Soul Society, then manifested his unstable Hollow fusion and battled Yhwach with Quincy and Hollow powers.
• Yhwach tore out and crushed Arima’s heart, but Arima used Blut Puppe and Hollow Power to form a new heart, revive, and batter Yhwach into a mangled heap.
• Arima collapsed as his armor dispersed and his new heart began to fail, while Unohana and the Rescue Squad rushed to treat him and black vapor carried away Yhwach’s remains.

Arima Shizuya regained his memories and joined Kurosaki Ichigo and Uryū Ishida in the fight against Yhwach. After the three brought Yhwach crashing into the lower realm, the gathered survivors rejected him, and a miracle occurred.

• Arima Shizuya awoke without memories of the people around him and learned that Shinigami and Quincy had repaired his heart, while Yhwach had escaped and resurrected.
• The factions argued over whether to unite against Yhwach, but Bazz-B and the Quincy refused to cooperate without Arima, who wandered through ruined Seireitei with Hinamori Momo and Candice.
• Yhwach launched his invasion, and the defenders split to fight his forces as Arima and Aizen Sōsuke headed toward the Spirit King Palace.
• Ōetsu Nimaiya used his Bankai against Lille Balo and Haschwalth, but Yhwach overcame the final strike, killed Nimaiya, and confronted Ichibei Hyōsube, Arima, and Aizen.
• Arima recovered his memories, reunited with Sagara Dragon, and released Tianlong Babu Deva, using its power to fight Yhwach across Timelines alongside Ichigo and Uryū.
• Arima restricted Yhwach’s ability to change Timelines as Ichigo and Uryū attacked, and he sent Yhwach hurtling toward the lower realm while Uryū prepared his silver arrow.
