Seven Days Later, Raditz Set Off. Time flowed like water, never to return.
Over the past seven days, Talot, Raditz, and Selari had undergone Bardock's strict training. Not only had their strength improved greatly, but their horizons and way of thinking had broadened as well.
Of course, for Talot, his improvement lay in his combat techniques. His Battle Power had not actually increased much, because from the very beginning, he had controlled his aura and kept his strength below 400.
His apparent improvement was merely the release of some of the Battle Power he had concealed, allowing Bardock to see his growth.
In Talot's words, he was simply going with the flow.
It was worth mentioning that Selari's talent had revealed itself under Bardock's training.
In such a short time, her Battle Power had risen from 180 to 240.
That meant Selari's Battle Power increased by nearly 10 points every day, an utterly terrifying rate.
Raditz's improvement, on the other hand, was not much different from Talot's. He had only risen from 550 to 580.
Though it appeared to be just 30 points, gaining that much in seven days was already quite remarkable.
Inside Bardock's home.
It was already noon, and everyone sat around the table eating the food Gine had made.
Unlike the previous few days, the atmosphere was rather heavy. The special training had ended, and Raditz would soon be leaving for the Royal Palace to report in.
Partings were often reluctant.
Yet for Saiyans, such separations had become commonplace over the past decade or two.
It was much like ordinary people in Talot's previous life leaving home to work and earn money.
Perhaps the only difference was that this would be Raditz's first true departure from Planet Vegeta to carry out a mission.
In other words, it was his first real time leaving home to wander outside. Naturally, his family's worries would be magnified without limit.
"When we meet again, you'd better be stronger, Talot! After I come back, I'll definitely be stronger too. Then we can have a proper fight!"
Before leaving, Raditz did not forget to speak to Talot about his hopes for the future.
That stirred even more feelings within Talot.
Most importantly, if the story developed as it had in the original work, then if Talot had not transmigrated here, had not left Planet Vegeta afterward, or had died on the medium-level planet they were about to conquer, there would have been no chance for them to meet again.
Of course, Talot had transmigrated here and taken the original owner's place!
Everything had changed!
Talot firmly believed that he would survive.
It was just that he truly had no idea when they would meet again.
Unless he took the initiative to seek Raditz out, he would have to wait for the original plot to unfold and see him when Raditz went to Earth.
That would be more than twenty years from now! "Alright! When we meet again, let's have a real fight, Raditz!" Talot replied, sending him off with his blessings as well.
They waved goodbye. Raditz bid farewell to Gine, and of course to Selari too, though Selari still did not care much for Raditz.
Even though their relationship had eased considerably over the seven days, the rift from childhood had already taken deep root. It was not something that could be changed in just a few days.
I hope my warning will make you different, make you stronger, so you won't end up like in the original work...
Watching Raditz's retreating figure, Talot added those words in his heart.
When he turned around, Talot saw the reluctance on Gine's face again, but he did not speak to comfort her.
Some things had to be slowly accepted and adapted to on one's own. Besides, before long, he would inevitably take Gine away from Planet Vegeta. When that time came, the emotional eruption caused by the planet's destruction would be far more intense.
After a long while, when Bardock and Raditz had completely vanished from sight, the others returned home.
Gine was fairly good at accepting things. She quickly composed herself and busied herself with work.
Seeing that she was alright, Talot and Selari went together to the nearby Market Town to purchase supplies.
During the spare time over the past few days, Bardock had already helped him buy a Medium-sized Spaceship and lent him 10,000 Merit Points to prepare.
It was not much, but it was not little either.
Though Bardock had said Talot would have to pay him back double in the future, it had to be said that this was still Bardock taking care of him.
Converted over, 10,000 Merit Points were equivalent to one million in Talot's previous world.
One could imagine that for an ordinary person to suddenly receive such a sum of money, it would undoubtedly be an enormous fortune.
Merit Points were not easy to obtain. Even if one conquered a low-level planet alone, they could only receive anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 Merit Points, depending mainly on the planet's value.
Since most Low-Class Warriors did not have Elite Warriors leading them, they could only cooperate in small groups and spend their years targeting low-level planets.
After conquering them, they still had to split the Merit Points equally.
So, to put it simply, most Low-Class Warriors were very poor. Anyone with several thousand or over ten thousand Merit Points on hand could already be considered rich.
Someone like Bardock was rich among the rich.
To him, even spending 100,000 Merit Points on a Medium-sized Spaceship would only sting a little.
To use an analogy, Bardock was like a billionaire in Talot's previous world buying a sports car worth several million.
"Brother Talot, do we really need to prepare so much stuff?" Selari watched Talot purchase supplies without stopping, utterly baffled.
In her view, they were simply heading out on a mission. Even if it might take a long time, what Talot had prepared over the past few days had already gone far beyond what was necessary.
Just the food alone was enough to last them an entire year.
The Medium-sized Spaceship was not huge, but it was not small either. Filling its storage hold completely made it seem as though they were preparing for a prolonged campaign away from home.
"Don't worry, we'll use it. Besides you, I actually plan to bring one more person," Talot said with a smile.
"One more person?" Selari's expression shifted slightly, and her little mind immediately began wandering in all sorts of directions.
Talot nodded. This was also the first time he had explained his plans for the future to her. "When the time comes, I hope Aunt Gine can help us go to Aoyun Planet."
"Aunt Gine? But if she comes with us, what about Kakarot?" Selari asked in surprise upon hearing it was Aunt Gine.
"So it's still uncertain for now. We'll talk about it the day before we leave. Don't tell Aunt Gine yet," Talot said, unwilling to discuss it any further with Selari in case something unexpected happened.
Selari was left somewhat dizzy by Talot's words, but she did not suspect anything. She was simply curious.
The two continued wandering through the market. Anything Talot considered necessary, he bought.
Honestly, after several days, they had spent quite a lot. He only had a few hundred Merit Points left.
But to Talot, if he did not spend it all before leaving Planet Vegeta, it would become nothing more than a string of worthless numbers.
In truth, if not for buying those five Saibaman seeds and all that Healing Liquid, Talot would not have spent so much.
