Meanwhile.
An inconspicuous single-pilot Spaceship streaked across the horizon and made an emergency landing at Planet Vegeta's spacecraft docking area.
The ship's hatch opened, and Bardock stepped out, covered in blood.
Planet Mitte was already quite close to Planet Vegeta, so a round trip took less than two days, with each leg taking no more than a day.
"Finally... I'm back!"
Because he had been injected with Healing Liquid and taken Special Medicine, coupled with the Saiyans' formidable natural healing and adaptability, Bardock's fatal injuries had completely healed. Not only that, his strength had entirely surpassed its former peak.
After a day of rest, along with the continued eruption of his potential following his desperate breakthrough, his Battle Power had risen to an unprecedented height.
30,000 points!!! That immense power gave Bardock absolute confidence.
He did not know why he had broken through to such a level, but he knew one thing: this was his power!
As Bardock hurried out of the Spaceship landing area, his appearance drew the attention of many of his kin and gave the staff there quite a fright.
The reason was simple. Though warriors often returned injured, none came back like Bardock, covered from head to toe in blood.
Bardock ignored the staff's questions.
It was not for any other reason. He knew these people meant no good, and more importantly, he needed to find King Vegeta and determine what exactly was happening. An hour ago, the Battle Power Detector's communication function had already gone offline. What he feared most was that King Vegeta and the others had acted before he returned, or had perhaps already met with disaster.
As he continued forward, the side effects of foreseeing the future brought on by Magic Fist suddenly erupted again, nearly making him faint from the stabbing pain in his head.
He saw Planet Vegeta being attacked by Frieza... and exploding.
"No!!!"
When Bardock came back to his senses, he was drenched in cold sweat once more.
The Kanassan's voice lingered in his ears, making him gasp uncontrollably.
"Feel well the pain of your Saiyan race being powerless in the face of extinction!"
"The future... won't be like this!! I will change the future!!! Whether it's mine, or Gine's and Raditz's, or Kakarot's and Talot's... the Saiyans' fate will never be extinction!"
Bardock gritted his teeth, determined to change everything.
Continuing onward, Bardock soon arrived at the Royal Palace. His blood-soaked appearance shocked everyone there as well.
When he confirmed that King Vegeta was not in the Royal Palace, and that even some Elite Warriors could not be contacted, Bardock's heart clenched as the worst possibility was confirmed.
"The prophecy... has all come true. So Frieza is outside Planet Vegeta right now..." Bardock sucked in a cold breath.
Things had already reached such a dangerous point.
Yet he had only realized it now.
Gritting his teeth, Bardock broke into a run toward the most prosperous district of the Royal City, where he found the largest entertainment venue.
This was a place many Saiyans came to for leisure.
Whether Elite Warriors or Low-Class Warriors, anyone who could afford to spend money here possessed considerable wealth.
Of course, no amount of wealth was useful now. Bardock had come here for help because, in the Saiyan world, being wealthy also meant being strong. Otherwise, one could never possess so many Merit Points.
After arriving, Bardock found some people he knew and told them all at once about what had happened to him, as well as Frieza's plan to deal with the Saiyan race.
The result, however, was difficult for Bardock to accept.
Not only did no one believe him, no one thought the Saiyans were facing imminent disaster.
Everyone thought he was joking. Some Elite Warriors even mocked him mercilessly.
"You hopeless bastards!!!
"You can all go to hell!"
No longer placing his hopes on them, Bardock turned and left.
As Bardock departed, the Saiyans continued making snide remarks.
Atop the tallest building in the Royal City.
Bardock had barely managed to hold on until he reached this place, struggling to remain calm.
In the mere ten minutes from the entertainment venue to here, he had nearly fainted several times.
To him, those ten minutes had felt like an eternity.
Visions of the future kept appearing before his eyes, making him feel as though he were living in the future, as though every scene were unfolding right before him.
Now, Bardock saw more than twenty years into the future.
He saw the grown Talot. He saw his son, Kakarot...
Standing opposite them was Frieza!!
"Talot... Kakarot..." Bardock clenched his fists.
He wanted to reach out and grab their shoulders, to make them turn around and look at him, but in the next second, everything vanished.
He panted violently, using it to steady himself.
He shook his head hard, trying to cast every distracting thought out of his mind.
"Fate... it shouldn't be like this... the fate of the Saiyan race... will never be like this!!" Bardock erupted in a roar. He didn't want such a future! Even though Talot and Kakarot would stand before Frieza in the future, he still held firmly to his beliefs.
His full strength erupted, his aura blazing like flames as he wrapped himself in a protective barrier.
He would stop it all, and he would kill Frieza too! With a thunderous BOOM!!!!
Bardock shot into the sky like a dazzling star, unstoppable by anyone.
Outside Planet Vegeta.
Inside the Spaceship, Frieza was admiring Planet Vegeta in its final moments.
Through the transparent glass made of special materials, Planet Vegeta lay beneath him from this angle, everything within the palm of his hand.
"This is the end. I've grown tired of looking at this planet as well." Frieza sat down in his Hoverchair again, looking utterly unconcerned, as though he felt no attachment whatsoever.
This was Frieza, the Universe Emperor—cold and merciless.
Following behind Frieza, Zarbon and Dodoria exchanged a glance and made their preparations.
Just as they were about to leave the Main Control Room—
A soldier operating the Spaceship suddenly cried out, drawing the attention of all three.
The rough meaning was that a Saiyan with an extremely high Battle Power was charging straight toward them.
"That guy is... the Saiyan on Planet Mitte whom I finished off?!" After Dodoria saw the face of the approaching figure on the virtual screen, he was stunned beyond belief.
That guy should have been killed by him. How could he still be alive?! "You were careless, Dodoria," Zarbon casually reminded him from the side.
Dodoria immediately broke out in a cold sweat.
He came to his senses, all surprise gone. His stiff expression revealed his fear of Frieza, terrified that Frieza would take his life over this failed mission.
