Bulma.
The almost perfect woman from the original story.
Beautiful, with a great figure, wealthy, highly intelligent—utterly flawless.
Other than being a little boy-crazy, narcissistic, and bold in her early years, there was really nothing to criticize.
Then again, it could also be said that Bulma had simply been too youthful and rebellious when she was young. Everyone went through a phase like that, and Bulma was no exception.
"Brother Talot, you've been staring over here. Is there something special about it?" Selari noticed Talot's unusual behavior and asked.
Though this vast cluster of round buildings looked strange compared to the other structures, there should not have been anything particularly special about it.
Hearing her call out, Gine also looked at Talot curiously.
Talot turned around naturally, already having prepared an explanation. "While we were walking down the street earlier, I heard quite a few people talking about Capsule Corp. They were saying what a genius Dr. Brief was for inventing it. I wonder if Dr. Brief is capable of making something I need?"
That single sentence revealed what he had in mind and indirectly told Gine and Selari of his plans.
A flash of surprise crossed Gine's eyes as she asked doubtfully, "Talot, is there something you need Earth's scientists to make? Earth's technology may look fairly advanced, but they still can't even leave the planet for interstellar travel."
Gine had a point. If Talot had not known what Dr. Brief was capable of, he too would have doubted whether the man could do it.
Just as Talot was about to answer Gine's question, the gate ahead suddenly opened.
Two girls, one older and one younger, hurried out and entered their field of view.
The little girl with blue twin tails reacted too slowly and accidentally ran right into Talot.
Talot instinctively caught the little girl, preventing her from being knocked away and falling to the ground.
Bulma, and... Tights? Talot recognized the two girls at a glance.
Tights in particular, Dr. Brief's eldest daughter, was very eye-catching with her long golden hair and lively temperament.
He recalled that Tights had once revealed her age in the original story: when Bulma was five, she had been sixteen.
Tights was still on Earth, which meant her storyline had not begun yet. His thoughts involuntarily drifted to the original side-story plot.
If Tights was still on Earth, then Galactic Patrol Jaco had not arrived on Earth yet.
Galactic Patrol Jaco... Thinking of him gave Talot another headache. He really was someone Talot had overlooked.
And the Galactic Patrol officially became involved in the original storyline during the later stages of the Super Era.
"Who are you, Big Brother?" Bulma, still in Talot's arms, suddenly spoke.
Only then did Talot let her go.
Before he could answer, Tights hurriedly pulled Bulma into her arms and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry. We suddenly rushed out and startled you."
"It's all right, but be more careful next time. There are cars all over the street, and an accident could happen if you aren't careful," Talot said with a smile.
He sounded completely natural, without the slightest pretense. It was common sense, after all, so his warning was entirely reasonable.
Tights nodded in thanks, then asked, "May I ask if you have some business here at my house?"
Tights was nearly an adult, and she was no fool. One look told her that Talot and the other two had come here for a reason.
With her asking, Talot naturally introduced himself, as well as Gine and Selari.
Afterward, he brought up his wish to have Dr. Brief make something for him.
Once she learned their identities and purpose, Tights politely said, "Since you're here to see my father, please come in. He happens to be home right now."
"Then we'll trouble you." Talot had not expected things to go so smoothly.
At Tights's invitation, Talot, Gine, and Selari entered the Great Round House's reception room.
Tights instructed the servants to prepare tea, pastries, and fruit for them, then settled Bulma in a room upstairs before going to notify her father, Dr. Brief.
Taking the opportunity, the three of them looked around at the furnishings and decor inside the house.
Gine and Selari were full of curiosity, as there were still many things on Earth that they did not understand.
Of course, they were even more curious about what Talot wanted to have made, but they did not ask him directly yet.
The wait for Dr. Brief felt very long.
It was not until Bulma suddenly trotted downstairs that the three of them were drawn over again.
Especially by the object in Bulma's hand.
Of course, Talot was the only one who truly cared.
Because it was a Dragon Ball!!!
"Little sister, can you let me take a look at the ball in your hand?" Talot asked with a smile.
Hearing Talot's words, Bulma hesitated. She looked at the Dragon Ball in her hand, then at Talot.
She did not dislike him, so she generously raised the Dragon Ball in her hand. "This is my toy. If Big Brother wants it, I can give it to you, but you have to play with me."
Bulma's voice was very childish, but also very pleasant.
Talot took the Dragon Ball she offered him and examined it carefully.
Up close, he could clearly see the two stars inside the Dragon Ball.
No matter what angle he viewed it from, they looked like five-pointed stars.
Just as described in the original work, it was exceptionally magical.
"Let's go play, Big Brother." Five-year-old Bulma was straightforward and innocent, immediately reaching for Talot's hand to pull him away.
Talot did not think much of it. This was Bulma, after all. Building a friendly relationship with her now would make things more convenient for him in the future.
However, Talot had not expected Selari to suddenly interrupt Bulma and yank away the hand Bulma was using to hold Talot's.
"Brother Talot isn't going to play alone with you."
Her words carried obvious, intense hostility.
Selari herself did not know what was wrong with her. She was so wary, as if someone were trying to steal away her Brother Talot.
"Big Brother didn't even refuse! What gives you the right to say he doesn't want to play with me?!" Bulma retorted indignantly.
With that forceful manner of hers, she already showed the makings of a strong career woman.
"I said no, so no." Selari refused to back down. Their very first meeting had turned into an argument.
The situation was not looking good. Talot immediately spoke up to stop them, also taking Selari's hand to keep her from acting rashly.
Unlike Selari, Bulma was just an ordinary little girl. If Bulma provoked Selari any further, Selari might really kill her with a casual blow.
Bulma was visibly furious. Her puffed-up cheeks made her look like a child who had failed to get what she wanted and was deeply unhappy about it.
"Little sister, I'll apologize to you on Selari's behalf. She wasn't deliberately targeting you. And I'll return this Dragon Ball to you." As Talot spoke, he soothed Bulma and handed the Dragon Ball back to her.
Selari was clearly displeased, but after Talot gave her a reassuring look telling her not to make trouble, she finally calmed down.
