Background / History

Ye Fan was a young man from Earth and a close friend of Pang Bo. During a visit to Kunlun Mountain, he acquired a mysterious seed; three years later, its connection to his pendant reacted at Mount Tai when the Nine Dragons Coffin Pull descended. Ye Fan, Pang Bo, and their former classmates were drawn into the bronze coffin and transported away from Earth. 408

Within the coffin, Ye Fan remained unusually calm and experienced the Great Dao Heavenly Sound and visions of immortals and gods. After arriving in the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land, he learned that he possessed a Desolate Ancient Holy Body—a physique regarded as a waste body because its Bitter Sea was believed impossible to open. 411

A remnant soul within his ring guided and provoked him during his early cultivation. Ye Fan ultimately opened his Bitter Sea through persistence, beginning a path that the cultivation world considered closed to Holy Bodies. Emperor Lord had strengthened Ye Fan's origin before his birth and later chose to temper him from the shadows. 412
