Oboro led the Hell Pirates through Sabaody and attacked Impel Down, where he killed Magellan and began recruiting the prison’s most dangerous prisoners. The arc left Oboro facing two challengers in Infinite Hell as he tested who could earn a place in his crew.

• Oboro battled the Marines at Sabaody, killed Chaton, and escaped with the Hell Pirates aboard their new flagship, the Blood Pluton.
• Oboro contacted Teach, deduced his plan to raid Impel Down, and led the Hell Pirates there ahead of him.
• Oboro freed prisoners on the upper levels and fought his way deeper into the prison, recruiting Shiryu along the way.
• Oboro encountered Luffy’s group on Level 4, then fought Magellan and overwhelmed his poison with air currents and Haki.
• Oboro killed Magellan, sent Crocodile to oversee Freezing Hell, and ordered Shiryu to eliminate the remaining prison staff.
• Oboro descended alone to Infinite Hell and announced that he had come to recruit companions.
• Oboro killed Aodeman, defeated an elderly prisoner who challenged him, and invited the prisoners to attack him together.

Oboro freed Impel Down’s prisoners, built the Hell Pirates into a major force, and brought them to Marineford as Whitebeard’s war unfolded. After killing Akainu and devastating the battlefield, Oboro led his crew into the New World, while Shanks met with the Five Elders over the crisis.

• Oboro defeated Douglas Bullet, recruited him and Byrnndi World, freed hundreds of prisoners, and left Teach behind as the Hell Pirates sailed for Marineford.
• Oboro appointed his officers, granted the crew new powers, and explained that the Hell Pirates planned to challenge Big Mom and oppose the World Government.
• The Hell Pirates watched Whitebeard’s arrival and the battle at Marineford until Oboro led Crocodile and his companions onto the battlefield as Luffy arrived to rescue Ace.
• After Akainu killed Ace and Whitebeard died, Oboro stopped Teach from taking Whitebeard’s power, then challenged Shanks when he arrived to end the war.
• Bullet fought Shanks while Oboro killed Akainu, and the Hell Pirates battled the Red Hair Pirates and Marines until Shanks struck Oboro down.
• Oboro regenerated, trapped Marineford in a vacuum, and unleashed an attack that destroyed the headquarters and killed many people before the Hell Pirates escaped with Whitebeard’s corpse.
• Oboro ordered the Blood Pluton toward the New World, and the World Government named the Hell Pirates the new Yonko and issued massive bounties.
• Shanks revealed himself to the Five Elders at Mary Geoise and warned that the situation had exceeded their expectations and control.

Oboro led the Hell Pirates in destroying Gran Tesoro, killing the Celestial Dragons and drawing the World Government and Yonko into a hunt for the crew. While the crew hid and rebuilt its strength, Oboro used Tesoro and Teach to intensify conflicts across the New World, then encountered Weevil and Miss Bakkin.

• Big Mom rejected CP0’s proposed alliance despite evidence that Oboro and Crocodile planned to attack Totto Land, while Oboro and Doflamingo agreed to keep Rob Lucci contained and prepare Doflamingo to claim Big Mom’s vacant Yonko seat.
• The Hell Pirates attacked Gran Tesoro, killing Celestial Dragons and visitors as Bullet defeated Tesoro, and Oboro revealed that he had known Lucci was a government spy.
• Oboro took Gran Tesoro for the Hell Pirates, recruited the defeated Tesoro to rebuild it as a floating entertainment kingdom, and brought the surviving crew back toward Dressrosa while the World Government and Yonko searched for them.
• The World Government detained Doflamingo and interrogated his officers, so Oboro had Tesoro take over Doflamingo’s underground dealings and arranged for Teach to help block ships heading to Dressrosa.
• Teach’s forces broke through the World Government blockade and invaded Dressrosa, while Oboro and Crocodile left and the Worst Generation began attacking Yonko territories across the New World.
• The Blackbeard Pirates attacked Big Mom’s forces and killed Pudding, while Urouge’s crew killed Snack and Kid’s crew raided Shanks’s territory.
• Oboro met Russ and granted him giant bloodline power, then encountered Weevil and Miss Bakkin after Weevil had destroyed an island and she considered claiming Oboro’s massive bounty.

Oboro helped Doflamingo seize Totto Land, killed Big Mom, and grew stronger by consuming her soul. He then targeted Luffy and drew the Red Hair Pirates into a battle on Rusukaina, where he raised the dead against them.

• Oboro recruited Doflamingo to infiltrate Totto Land, then launched a surprise assault that destroyed Whole Cake Chateau and devastated the Charlotte Family.
• Oboro and the Hell Pirates defeated Big Mom’s forces, and Oboro killed Big Mom and consumed her soul, triggering a surge of power that shattered Whole Cake Island.
• Doflamingo declared himself a Yonko after taking Totto Land, while Shanks arrived and warned him not to let Oboro harm Luffy.
• Oboro attacked Luffy on Rusukaina, killed the Revolutionary Army infiltrators who intervened, and fought Garp while his officers overwhelmed the Kuja warriors.
• Shanks brought the Red Hair Pirates to Rusukaina, where they battled Oboro’s forces at sea until Oboro raised the dead Hell Pirates to attack them.
