Background / History

Dongfang Ji lived during the prosperous era of the ancient Human Race. He was an ancestor of the Dongfang Family, an ancient Human Race general, and an important participant in the civilization’s former glory. His knowledge is more detailed and specific than the Flag Spirit’s because he personally witnessed that period. 256 257

His remnant soul survived within a damaged Soul Bead until Wang Yu uncovered it among artifacts collected by the Delecott Family. Initially wishing to see the present Human Race for himself, Dongfang Ji agreed to return with Wang Yu after the Flag Spirit argued that the declining Human Race needed his help. 256

Upon learning that the Human Race had fallen from a Level Four civilization to Level One, Dongfang Ji accepted the Human Emperor’s request to remain and assist its revival. His Soul Bead was placed in the Time Tower’s alternate dimension to stabilize his soul, allowing him to advise Wang Yu and teach the Human Race’s leaders. 257
