Background / History

The Fierce Demons are a major external threat to the Half-Rotating Star Domain. Their existence previously drove the region’s civilizations to rally around the Angel God Clan and establish a broader star-domain society despite continuing conflicts among races. The Angel God Clan has fought them more than once and was preparing for another war against them 269.

Their incursions are enabled by Screaming Dragon Energy, which tears through space and creates teleportation channels from beyond the star domain. The energy contains the Screaming Dragon’s mad and evil will, and it drives its victims toward madness and destruction 288.

The first major outbreak faced by the Human Race became known as the Screaming Demon Calamity. Fierce Demons emerged through multiple channels to assault the Human Race castle and other settlements, inflicting casualties before the catastrophe ended 288 294. A second-loop calamity later brought a far greater wave of Fierce Demons against Human Race territory 387 388.

Wang Yu and Augusto ultimately traced the source of the Fierce Demons to a Screaming Dragon burial ground in the Demon Fiend Land, where they found evidence of a past Human Race war against the demons and the Screaming Dragon 392.

Characteristics

Fierce Demons are defined by savage madness and a loss of reason. Newly arrived demons attacked Wang Yu without restraint, and he described them as having only “savage madness” remaining 289.

Their bodies and capabilities vary greatly, but many possess formidable physical strength, resilience, and regeneration. Screaming Dragon Energy can reinforce their bodies, seal wounds, and sustain them after otherwise crippling injuries 398.

• They may be transported through spatial channels created by Screaming Dragon Energy 288 291.
• Their residual Screaming Dragon Energy is difficult to erase even with Wang Yu’s Myriad Things Life and Death Spiritual Power 289.
• Some carry Screaming Dragon Bones, which significantly enhance and mutate them 395.
• Their bloodlines are at least Star Spirit grade after modification by Screaming Dragon Bones, making them valuable material for Wang Yu’s bloodline cultivation 403.

Ordinary Fierce Demons

Ordinary Fierce Demons appear in large numbers during calamities. Their threat ranges from lesser combatants to Star Envoy-level entities capable of attacking fortified settlements 288 289 294.

• Wang Yu annihilated hundreds using Spiritual Power during the initial calamity 289.
• Some lizard-like Fierce Demons possessed gray-white keratin armor and fought with spears 391.

Colossal Fierce Demon

A colossal Fierce Demon encountered in the Screaming Dragon burial ground had a snake-like head, beast-like body, hoofed limbs, two flexible giant arms, and golden eyes. Its destructive power reached the Star Spirit level, overwhelming Augusto before Wang Yu confronted it directly 392.

Special Human Race Fierce Demon

The Plain-clothed Scholar summoned humanoid Fierce Demons derived from the Human Race. Unlike ordinary demons, one such specimen showed tactical awareness, identifying Wang Yu as the greater threat and targeting him first 398 404.

• It retained a human appearance but had golden beast-like eyes and an utterly ferocious demeanor 398.
• Its body had been repeatedly remodeled by massive Screaming Dragon Energy, granting exceptional toughness and regenerative ability 398.
• Its explosive physical power slightly exceeded Wang Yu’s full Bloodline Power output 398.
• Wang Yu required the simultaneous activation of three Star Seals to extinguish its life force permanently 398.

Screaming Dragon Bones

Screaming Dragon Bones are a key source of Fierce Demon enhancement. Wang Yu’s experiments showed that the bones could reinforce and mutate Fierce Demons substantially 395.

• A demon modified by abundant Screaming Dragon Energy could rapidly repair massive wounds while its energy supply remained intact 398.
• Special Fierce Demons stationed across the Demon Fiend Land contained dormant Screaming Dragon Bones 398.

Conflict with the Human Race

The Human Race became a direct target during the Screaming Demon Calamity. The Human Emperor fortified the Human Race castle while cultivators, Rune Sets, and Rune Puppets resisted the invading demons 288 294.

Wang Yu became one of the Human Race’s principal counters to the threat. He destroyed large numbers of demons, devoured their bloodlines to strengthen himself, and later worked with the Angel Race to establish a teleportation gate toward the calamity’s source 289 390.
