PS1: The protagonist's universe was an unknown parallel universe from Dragon Ball. It was clearly stated in the synopsis, so stop talking nonsense.

PS2: To certain "true fans," please read the synopsis when you read the book. I even revised it back then and clearly stated it was a parallel universe, yet you still clung to the main universe to criticize it. Do I need to recommend some highly ranked eye hospitals to you?

PS3: Don't say adaptations shouldn't be made up or that fictional retellings shouldn't be nonsense. Even Toei's own Broly has two versions of his setting, so why couldn't my Beckett come from a parallel universe?

PS4: This book was logically consistent. Up until the end of the Marvel main arc, neither the power scaling nor the plot collapsed. No need for certain "Dragon Ball fans" to worry about it. Thank you.

PS5: This PS was written after the Marvel main arc ended on March 31, 2020.

PS6: By the way, there was no other reason for adding this PS afterward. It was simply to tell new readers that the main story's plot did not collapse, nor did its power scaling. Don't be influenced by those keyboard warriors shouting "keyboard, come forth." You can read with peace of mind.

In the vast, boundless universe stood Planet Vegeta, home to the Saiyans.

As representatives of a warlike race, the Saiyans' brutality was infamous throughout the universe. But today, the Saiyans, once so ruthless they seemed utterly invincible, suffered a catastrophic disaster.

The Cosmic Emperor Frieza personally acted. Every Saiyan warrior on Planet Vegeta, including King Vegeta, was slaughtered cleanly by this ruthless emperor.

"What a pity. If not for the legendary Super Saiyan, these people would have made decent subordinates." Because King Vegeta's intent to rebel had been exposed, Frieza, who feared the Super Saiyan of Saiyan legend and sought to conquer the entire universe, had no choice but to act personally and erase every potential opponent.

There were no survivors anywhere on Planet Vegeta. In Frieza's understanding, aside from Saiyan Prince Vegeta, who was currently outside on a mission with his squad, there should no longer have been any Saiyans in the universe.

Frieza strolled alone across the corpse-strewn Planet Vegeta, admiring his handiwork. Blood stained his toes, and his pale skin looked especially terrifying beneath the moonlight.

"Hmm?"

As Frieza passed a circular building, he paused, and a teasing smile rose on his face. He raised his right hand and aimed his index finger at the structure before him. Vast energy gathered at a single point, blasting from Frieza's fingertip toward the building.

Boom!!!

The collision of energy was especially piercing on the silent Planet Vegeta. The fragile building could not withstand the devastation and gradually melted away, revealing the figure hiding inside.

A beautiful woman held an infant in her arms.

"Oh? A Saiyan barely clinging to life? That's quite rare." Saiyans, famous for their brutality and love of battle, were also known for their weak sense of family. Yet this woman was clearly willing to risk her life to protect the infant in her arms, completely overturning Frieza's understanding of the Saiyan race.

Something unusual was afoot.

Because of King Vegeta's sudden rebellion, Frieza was now extremely sensitive to any abnormality displayed within the Saiyan race. The legendary Super Saiyan was something he had to guard against.

"Frieza! Why?!"

"Why? Do I need to give you a reason?"

The smile on Frieza's face grew increasingly cruel. On the entire Planet Vegeta, the only living beings left should have been this mother and child.

For the Saiyans, leaving only Vegeta, who still knew nothing, was enough. Everyone else had chosen rebellion, so they had to pay the price—a price in blood.

Vast energy effortlessly pierced through the female Saiyan's chest.

As though sensing her mother's death, the infant, who should have been asleep, drowsily opened his eyes. His little hands tugged at his mother's shoulder-length hair, and his babbling abruptly stopped the next second. The last tender Flower of Life on Planet Vegeta withered before it could bloom with its own light.

"Without Saiyans, Planet Vegeta has no reason to exist." After leaving Planet Vegeta's surface, Frieza raised his right index finger. With a cruel smile and words that sounded almost casual, he lightly tapped his fingertip toward Planet Vegeta.

"Frieza!!!!!"

A heart-wrenching roar rang out as a figure desperately threw himself in front of the energy sphere Frieza had fired.

"Oh? There's another one? The last Saiyan? What a pity. You aren't qualified."

This last remaining Saiyan warrior's vigorous life force was indeed worthy of ordinary people's amazement, but in Frieza's eyes, it was nothing special.

He was merely a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

Amid Frieza's savage grin, an immensely concentrated surge of energy engulfed the entire Planet Vegeta in an instant, along with the warrior who had tried to block it. With its core shattered, Planet Vegeta's core began to expand violently. Everything unfolded exactly as Frieza had expected.

Boom!!!!

The energy, having expanded to its limit, began to explode. Planet Vegeta was destroyed in an instant.

Yet amid the great explosion on Planet Vegeta, because that warrior had desperately resisted Frieza's attack, the female Saiyan, who awoke from her feigned death, had enough time to send her son away from Planet Vegeta—away from this planet about to perish.

The roar in the sky gradually faded. Looking at everything rapidly vanishing before her, the woman's pale face was filled with reluctance.

"Beckett, Mommy loves you."

"So you have to live. You must."

The infant, whom she had also placed in a state of feigned death, was put into a life pod she had hidden in advance at home. Though she had long guessed that Frieza would personally come to deal with King Vegeta's rebellion, she had never expected Frieza's strength to be so overwhelming that none of Planet Vegeta's warriors could defeat him.

Inside the prepared life pod, the awakened infant repeatedly slapped the transparent hatch with his little hands. His babbling carried heartbroken sobs, but the only response he received was his mother pressing the launch button.

Boom boom boom!!!!

Planet Vegeta's core began its final explosion. The escaping energy even twisted the edge of the universe into a black hole. The newly launched life pod was helplessly sucked inside, and the violent turbulence knocked the infant unconscious...

Marvel Universe, Titan.

The conflict between Titan's limited resources and its ever-growing population had reached an irreconcilable point. This planet, once home to a flourishing civilization, had finally reached the day of its destruction.

The warrior once exiled by the Titan race walked across the barren land beneath the setting sun. He gazed into the endless starry sky, his expression neither joyful nor sorrowful.

He had always believed he was not wrong. What had happened to his homeworld, Titan, only made him more certain of what his life's mission was.

Those foolish, stubborn old fossils had all become dust in the universe beneath this catastrophe. No one could use Titan's name to stop him from pursuing and realizing his ideals ever again.

He, Thanos, had been born for destiny.

Removing his bloodstained helmet, Thanos sat amid Titan's ruins and quietly stared at the sunset staining the horizon red. Suddenly, a baby's crying interrupted his thoughts. Feeling puzzled, Thanos stood and looked toward the sound. A naked infant was crying amid Titan's ruins.

As though sensing Thanos's arrival, the infant stopped crying. He blinked his large eyes at the stranger before him, his gaze filled with vigilance.

"A child of Titan? A survivor like me?"

Thanos murmured softly, and a rare gentle smile appeared on his cold face. He did not know why the child had a red tail behind him, but what did that matter?

Thanos himself had always been an anomaly among the Titan race. What was so strange about another anomaly appearing?

His broad fingers teased the infant, whose eyes were full of coldness and vigilance. As though he had discovered a new continent, Thanos began to consider adopting the child.

Such a gaze in infancy reminded him of himself when he was young.

"From today onward, you are my child."

"Your name is Beckett."

Beneath the sunset, the tall figure clad in golden armor carried an infant whose hands and feet kept struggling, then slowly walked away from the desolate Titan.
