• Liang Qu completed Long E Ying’s household ceremony, celebrated the New Year with her, and learned from King of Yue that the Ghost Mother Sect might conceal its headquarters in the Eastern Water Domain.
• Liang Qu captured and commanded a young Spreading Starfish, which he named Pai Xiao Xing, and used its network to locate the Ghost Mother Sect’s branches and Dream White Fire.
• Disguised as the White Ape, Liang Qu stole Dream White Fire from the sect’s guarded waters and brought it to Old Toad, then turned Yi Zhiyu’s intelligence about the Alchemy Branch over to Su Guishan and Xu Yuelong.
• Liang Qu and the officials prepared an expedition to bypass Lord Net, using a dead eel as cover and Grandmaster Chen Shixuan’s spatial divine ability to reach the branch.

Liang Qu traveled west to Hanging Temple and entered the Original Life Buddha trial, where his encounter with Wu Zhiqi led him to form a Ninth Buddha. After surviving Zhang Longxiang’s attack and awakening heartfire, he woke to find his sea of clouds vastly expanded.

• Liang Qu ambushed the Ghost Mother Sect Grandmasters in the Great Marsh, killed Wang Lingfei, and escaped with his head before returning to the Heaven and Earth Treasure Cave.
• Liang Qu completed the beams of his second Immortal Palace, recruited companions to travel ahead, and set west with his family for the scripture lecture gathering at Hanging Temple.
• At Hanging Temple, Liang Qu accepted the Life Buddha Trial and entered the Golden Wheel, where he experienced a life spent taming floods before awakening as the Fundamental Buddha.
• Liang Qu encountered Wu Zhiqi inside the Ze Cauldron, and their conversation about Sun Wukong led Hanging Temple’s monks to help form Mahavairocana and a Ninth Buddha.
• Liang Qu became a blue great ape, fused with Water Monkey Great Sage, and formed the Golden Buddha Victorious Fighting, which believers across the mountains began to worship.

After the scripture assembly, Liang Qu wounded Zhang Longxiang, discovered that he could share River’s Favor, and made plans to rally allies for the Dragon Pearl. He returned to Pingyang with Huai Kong and a group of spirit monsters, then began arranging cultivation and a base for the coming conflict.

• Liang Qu demonstrated his strength by splitting the sea of clouds with a punch and later attained sudden enlightenment with Yuan Fang during the French fries gathering.
• At the Dharma assembly, Liang Qu discussed Buddhist teachings with the Old Monk and invited Huai Kong to travel and cultivate in the world with him.
