Gryffindor's Secret Chamber
"Looks like we've found the right place!" Albert muttered to himself, looking at the object on the ground.
"What do you mean?" Lee Jordan didn't understand Albert's words for a moment.
"How stupid!"
Upon hearing this, George couldn't help but roll his eyes at Lee Jordan and explained, "Why don't you think about where this place is? How could there be such a stone carving? So... the possibility that Gryffindor's Secret Treasure is here is quite high."
"Is this the treasure of Gryffindor?" Fred understood, but when he looked around, it didn't look like there was any treasure at all!
The Troll's lair was just a hole in the ground; you really couldn't tell anything from it.
"What do we do now?" George asked, turning his head. "We can't just search the whole place, can we? This place looks disgusting."
Albert took out the Treasure Map, looked at the pointer on it, and after confirming that there were no other changes, he squinted and began to look around. Then he had Fred, George, and Lee Jordan use spells to clear the surrounding walls.
"You think there's a secret passage here, and the entrance is hidden?" Fred took the Treasure Map from Albert, examined it carefully, and then gave his guess.
Both George and Lee Jordan recalled the hidden passage in Hogwarts Castle.
"Should we dig a little deeper? Maybe we can find some left over," Lee Jordan suggested. "I have a feeling this thing has some other purpose here; it can't just be a decoration!"
"Let's dig it out and take a look!" Albert didn't object. "While you're at it, you can clean up the cave."
After saying that, Albert turned and left.
"Where you go?"
The three of them were stunned for a moment, and when they saw Albert walking out, they quickly asked him what was wrong.
"It's nothing. I'll go out and kill those two Troll to prevent them from waking up and threatening our lives," Albert said casually, as if he were just swatting two mosquitoes.
All three were momentarily stunned, never expecting Albert to say such a thing.
Troll are indeed dangerous creatures. Although they seemed to defeat the two Forest Troll very easily, that doesn't mean anything. Troll can still threaten the lives of four underage wizards.
"I'll help you!"
George muttered something to himself and hurriedly chased after Albert, as he could no longer bear the harsh environment in the lair.
Fred and Lee Jordan's faces darkened. They wondered why they hadn't realized it before, and reluctantly began cleaning the trash in the nest.
"Is killing them really a good thing?" George muttered under his breath.
"Forest Troll eat people," Albert glanced at George and said calmly. "If I were Dumbledore, I certainly wouldn't mind leaving them alive, but we don't."
"How do you plan to kill them?" George didn't dwell on the matter. The Troll were indeed very dangerous. Without Albert's help, he, Fred, and Lee Jordan alone might not be able to handle a Forest Troll.
When they saw the Troll rushing towards them, the sheer intimidation was enough to terrify them. Moreover, the Troll's skin had a certain resistance to magic, and the three of them might soon be brutally killed by the Troll's club and become its food.
"That's simple. Are you sure you want to see it?" Albert asked in return.
"Okay, I think I can handle it!" George muttered.
"Do as you please."
Albert waved his wand, and the tree branch beside him suddenly turned into steel spikes that extended toward him, piercing through the Troll' heads in one go. It felt like stabbing a watermelon with a fruit knife, easily pinning both Troll to the ground.
"Just like that, he died!" George said in disbelief.
"Yes, that's how they died, what else could they do?" Albert used magic to dig a large pit for the two Troll and buried them.
Actually, the main reason for killing the Troll was that this place might be the location of Gryffindor's Secret Treasure, and since they would be searching for treasure here, they naturally didn't want to leave themselves with any security risks.
"It feels a bit cruel!" George sighed.
"Hmm?" Albert curled his lip and said dismissively, "If you were eaten, you wouldn't feel this is so cruel."
mercy.
That's a privilege only the victors possess.
"Well, that's true."
After Albert finished dealing with the Troll and cast several Alarm Magic outside the lair, he returned to the cave and found that Fred and Lee Jordan's progress was still very slow.
However, they did manage to unearth part of the statue. After Albert used Mending Charm to restore it, he discovered that it looked somewhat like a Griffin.
"It looks a bit like the monster statue at the entrance to the Headmaster's Office. I think the entrance should be here," Lee Jordan muttered.
"But... how can we get inside?" Fred couldn't think of a good way either. As far as he knew, the stone monster at the headmaster's door could talk, so perhaps a special password was needed to get inside.
But the stone monster at the entrance has been destroyed. How are they going to open the entrance? "Speaking of which, who destroyed the stone statue?"
"It's probably Troll. Maybe the statue asked the Troll for a password, and those guys hit it with a stick." Albert said casually. He thought this was quite likely. The Troll probably didn't understand what it was and thought it was an enemy, or for some other reason, it hit it.
"What should we do now?"
None of the four of them had any good solutions.
"How about we try using brute force first?"
"You're planning to blow up the entrance?"
They looked around and hesitated for a moment before agreeing to the method.
"Open Sesame!" Albert chanted a spell towards the cave wall in front of him.
The spell struck the wall, but instead of blasting the entrance away as expected, it bounced off the cave wall and exploded behind them. Luckily, Albert ducked in time to avoid it, or he would have been in real trouble.
"The magic was actually reflected back!"
All four were shocked, and they simultaneously came to the same conclusion: it must be here! "Wait, there's a reaction here!" Fred shouted, stopping Albert who was about to use Exploding Charm to blast the cave wall away, and pointed to the Treasure Map in his hand.
"What?"
"It's the password!"
"What password?"
"Brave and fearless!"
"That's so typical of Gryffindor!" Albert murmured after a moment of surprise. "I remember the line from the Sorting Hat song that Gryffindor said: 'The students we teach must be brave and fearless.'"
"You actually remember?" Fred couldn't help but complain.
"Stop talking nonsense and try it out. I can't wait," George urged.
Albert stepped forward, raised his wand, tapped the wall, and recited the command. The entrance opened immediately.
"It's a success!"
Fred and his two companions cheered with delight, preparing to go inside to search for the treasure, when Albert stopped them.
"Etc..."
"What are you waiting for? Aren't you going in to find Gryffindor's treasure?"
"Go in, of course we'll go in. But let's go out and get some fresh air first, do you want to suffocate?" Albert threw a ball of light into the passage. The entrance passage was a bit long, and he didn't know if there were any traps.
If Ravenclaw's Knowledge Vault is wisdom, then Gryffindor's legacy is adventure.
The adventure of Albert and his companions has only just begun!
