Strike First
The weekend was sunny and bright; it had been a long time since we'd had such good weather.
On such a beautiful day, everyone was stuck in the library doing homework, which made Fred, George, and Lee Jordan extremely disgusted with the ever-increasing amount of homework.
With the Easter holidays approaching, professors are once again frantically assigning students a mountain of homework, fearing that they will have no free time to play around during the holidays.
If they don't want to cram all their homework into the Easter holiday, they need to start doing their homework in advance so that they can have enough rest time Easter.
Easter holidays are never as fun as Christmas holidays. Most students spend the whole day in the library, yawning, sighing, and struggling with heavy coursework.
In the library, Lee Jordan covered his yawn with his hand, looked up at Albert and winked, teasing him in a low voice, "I heard you Ravenclaw."
As soon as Lee Jordan uttered his words, everyone around him, who had been busy doing their homework, looked up and listened with great interest to his gossip.
"Why don't you say I've won over the prettiest girl in Ravenclaw?" Albert was speechless for a moment, wondering why these words sounded a bit off coming from Lee Jordan's mouth.
"So, it's true?" Fred and George were equally curious; they thought Albert should have had a girlfriend by now.
Now, has it finally been exposed? The girls sitting opposite them all looked a little uncomfortable, and for some reason, they felt uneasy listening to them talk about this.
"Who is that lucky girl?"
Shanna took a deep breath and asked with a slightly stiff expression.
"Who else could it be but that Ravenclaw prodigy!" Lee Jordan wore an expression of utter surprise. "Geniuses always attract each other. Haven't there been rumors lately that they're a couple?"
"That rumor is actually true?" Angelina couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"No, it's not true," Albert said gently. "Back then, we were just friends. But the rumors have gotten a bit out of hand lately. So I thought about it and tried asking Isobel out, and she agreed to be my girlfriend."
At this point, Albert shook his head again.
"It's all thanks to that rumor, otherwise things probably wouldn't have gone so smoothly!"
The people present looked at each other, suddenly unsure of what to say.
News of Albert and Isobel's date spread quickly, and everyone was talking about it. Many girls were incredibly upset after learning the reason the two got together.
However, the most frustrated people were probably the female companions around Isobel.
They never imagined that Isobel would quietly win Albert's heart.
"The trick?" Isobel repeated with a strange expression.
"There's no secret to it. I was just casually mentioning something that had happened recently while we were discussing academic issues, and he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. I thought about it and agreed."
Is it really that simple? Everyone stared at Isobel in disbelief, finding her words incredible.
"That's it. Otherwise, what did you think it was, some grand, dramatic confession?"
The girls couldn't help but feel a little frustrated. Was this the difference between the two sides?
"Have you kissed?" They quickly overcame their initial frustration and asked some embarrassing questions with curiosity, "Have you ever dated?"
"No, exams are coming up soon, and everyone is very busy, so we don't have time to go on dates."
Isobel didn't want to dwell on these issues any longer, so she casually made up an excuse, "Besides, I'm busy studying right now, I simply don't have time for dates. When do you think we'll go on a date? Probably after the exams, or next semester!"
Are you two really a couple?
The girls found it incredible and could only console themselves by saying that perhaps this is how dating happens between geniuses.
Although Albert and Isobel were seen as a couple by others, they still went about their own business every day.
As a result, Albert was labeled by girls as the most boring boyfriend. It's unclear whether this was just sour grapes or there were other reasons.
Anyway, Albert is no longer the most desirable man in the eyes of most girls, although he still has quite a few admirers.
Recently, Katrina has been very upset by the rumors.
She didn't want to say much about Isobel and Albert's affair. Perhaps she should offer her sister her blessings, and besides, Katrina had a feeling that those two had probably been hooking up for a long time.
When Katrina pushed open the door to the Room of Requirement, her attention was immediately drawn to the two people tightly embracing each other on the sofa.
For some reason, her mood suddenly worsened, her fists clenched involuntarily, she muttered "Excuse me" and turned to leave.
After Katrina left, the two people on the sofa separated.
"Are you sure your sister likes me?" Albert looked at his girlfriend speechlessly. The two of them, through Marauder's Map, "coincidentally" staged this scene in front of Katrina, directly forcing Katrina to eat a mouthful of dog food.
"She probably likes you, and I think it's best to discourage her." Isobel stared into Albert's eyes and asked, "You're not thinking about her, are you?"
"I didn't expect you to get jealous?" Albert teased.
"I just don't want to see her get hurt," Isobel said, shaking her head. "You should understand what I mean."
Albert could certainly understand that if the person Nia liked wanted to have his cake and eat it too, he might do something about it.
"However, Katrina and I are just ordinary friends." Although Albert could understand, he didn't want Isobel to misunderstand.
"We're just friends now, but what about later?" Isobel poked Albert's chest and asked rhetorically.
"I don't know, but it's probably unlikely."
Albert thought carefully about the possibilities ahead.
It's entirely possible!
Although it might sound like boasting, Albert felt that if it weren't for Isobel, he might have considered dating Katrina.
As for the sisters... well, Albert immediately nipped that idea in the bud. If Isobel, that sister-obsessed girl, found out, who knows what would happen.
"I already have you," Albert cleared his throat and said honestly. "If I hadn't found someone, according to my plan, I would probably have found myself a girlfriend in fifth or sixth grade."
"Fifth or sixth grade is too late. You know, most girls start thinking about dating and having boyfriends by Fourth Year!" Isobel reminded with a smile. "If you wait until fifth or sixth grade, all the good girls of the same age will have already been taken by other boys."
Therefore, sometimes it is very important to take the initiative.
Albert listened to Isobel's words in disbelief, and a strange thought suddenly popped into his head: Could he also be the one who was attacked first?
Wait a minute! That should have been what I was thinking at the time!
It sounds like Isobel might have the same idea.
