George found it hard to imagine that Professor Flitwick actually intended to teach Albert Dark Magic.

"It is Dark Magic. It's much more powerful than the Shattering Charm. Peter Pettigrew once used it to blow up an entire street." Albert looked at the confused trio and explained, "The reason it's so weak when you use it is because your Magical Power isn't strong enough yet. There's another reason too—it's like how some people can cast the Avada Kedavra Curse and still fail to kill anyone."

"No wonder our Exploding Charms are so weak," George muttered. "What does Professor Flitwick plan to teach you?"

"How to use the Exploding Charm flexibly, as well as its advanced applications."

The three of them could not help feeling disappointed. They could not learn many of Albert's flashy tricks, such as the simplest Lumos Charm. They could not even make a ball of light leave their wands and float on its own. If they could not manage something that simple, there was no point even thinking about the harder stuff.
