Viri's right eye flickered with a sinister light, while his left eye continuously leaked a reddish-white fluid.
Perhaps it was due to being enraged, his violent roars pained everyone's eardrums.
The warriors of the Beastmen of Behemoth were much like the Barbarians of the Wasteland; most hadn't learned any Martial Skills, relying solely on their durable physiques to get by.
Viri's fighting style was incredibly crude and simple. He charged at Allen in a rage, like an upright-walking bear, opening his arms wide as if to pick Allen up and strangle him.
Allen, who was just over 1.8 meters tall, ducked under the attack with a slight bend. Disbelieving, he landed a hook to the bearman's groin. He truly had no other choice; his opponent was far too strong and clad in iron armor. He couldn't keep stomping on his feet, could he?
Aside from his groin and head, the only part of this bearman not protected by iron armor was his feet.
Whether Viri's groin had gone numb or he simply didn't care, he raised his knee and slammed it into Allen's face.
Allen fell backward, two thin streams of blood spraying from his nose, stars swimming before his eyes.
As Viri moved to stomp on Allen, Sakre, who had rushed over, swung his twin swords at him.
Seemingly clumsy but actually very experienced in combat, Viri raised his shoulder, his thick iron armor protecting his neck. A clang of metal on metal echoed, and Sakre failed once again, his two broken iron swords shattering and scattering.
Sakre pulled the dazed Allen up and blocked Viri's punch, but he was sent flying backward.
"This guy has so much strength," Sakre steadied himself and attacked again, but the Wolf Cavalry behind Viri began a short charge, their scimitars slashing at him. Many distant Wolf Cavalry threw large nets.
The Behemoth Wolf Cavalry were quite famous on the Saint Cassis Continent, not only for their masterful swordsmanship but also for their signature skill, "Net Throwing."
Sakre was overwhelmed. Seeing Viri's massive palm closing around Allen's neck, he grew anxious but was powerless to intervene.
Allen, his neck gripped and lifted into the air, tightly wrapped his legs around Viri's thick arms. Unfortunately, the bearman's muscles were like steel, unaffected and as solid as a rock.
A Dragon Spear, seven meters long, shot towards Viri's face like a meteor.
Viri, who had been prepared, moved with a speed unbefitting his physique. He grabbed a nearby Wolf Cavalryman and instantly used him as a shield.
The seven-meter Dragon Spear had a dull tip, and the Wolf Cavalryman's bones were hard. The spear pierced the Wolf Cavalryman, narrowly missing Viri's face.
Shaking off the Wolf Cavalryman's corpse, Viri, with Allen's neck still in his left hand, pointed his right finger at Dina in the distance. His voice was hoarse, like metal grinding, and he spoke in very awkward Continental Common, "You, come with us. We'll let the others go."
Wood was greatly alarmed and quickly moved to block Dina.
Dina didn't hesitate for a moment. She kicked the small Wood away, threw the Siege Crossbow from her shoulder at several Faith Guardian Knights, sending them tumbling, and then ran out.
Seeing Dina run out of the east gate, past Old Zak and other barbarian warriors, and only a few dozen yards from him, Viri took a scimitar from a nearby Wolf Cavalryman and said with a sinister grin, "I lied to you."
The sharp scimitar plunged into Allen's abdomen. Viri whispered, "You're the first human to wound me."
As he pulled out the scimitar, black blood flowed from Allen's abdomen, shining with a golden light.
"Second Young Master!" Dina cried out in anguish, charging forward like a rampaging bull. Unfortunately, more and more Wolf Cavalrymen fearlessly blocked her path.
Viri aimed the gleaming scimitar at Allen's heart, his blood-red single eye staring intently at Allen's face, as if wanting to remember the expression of pain in his final moments.
Allen didn't notice the black blood flowing from his abdomen, nor did he feel the pain from the wound.
At this moment, he began to regret not practicing Martial Skills diligently after his transmigration.
Allen suddenly began to hate the original owner of this body, hating that he possessed mental power but couldn't cast a single spell, hating that he wasted his time and cultivated no Battle Qi, hating that he brought the kind Dina to the damned Outpost County.
Thinking this, Allen weakly murmured, "Great Overgod, I swear, if I can prevent Dina from facing a tragic fate again, I will devoutly believe in you from now on. I will bear your divine name, even if I walk towards endless hell, without regret for life."
Looking down at the sharp scimitar at his chest, Allen suddenly felt time stand still.
The battlefield was filled with an eerie silence. The sounds of battle were gone, as were the dismembered limbs scattered everywhere. Even the ferocious and powerful bearman before him seemed frozen.
The bearman's previously terrifying face, now frozen, looked inexplicably comical.
Allen realized his body also couldn't move. The black blood flowing from his abdomen, now still, slowly turned golden.
The blood condensed in mid-air, and the birds in the sky froze. The only things still changing were Sakre's golden Battle Qi, flickering like breathing, Wood holding up a black codex with a shining holy cross on his chest, and Dina's tears still hanging on her lips.
A small figure, shrouded in black mist, walked through the path littered with Wolf Cavalry corpses and arrived before Allen.
Allen couldn't see his face, nor could he tell if it was a man or a woman.
"Person from another world, do you wish to become an earthly agent of Chaos, the God of Chaos?" a voice like a great bell resounded from all directions.
"Person from another world, do you wish to contribute your unique soul, to offer it to the boundless darkness?"
Allen found his lips could move and asked, rather anticlimactically, "What the hell?"
"Very well!" the great bell-like voice sounded again. "Then, accept my curse and walk towards darkness in my name."
After the voice disappeared, Allen suddenly saw his arm begin to turn transparent. The crimson blood beneath his skin emitted a dazzling ethereal light, and incomprehensible runes roamed within his body.
When all the runes converged at his chest, a golden dragon totem suddenly appeared on his chest, as if it had been tattooed there from the beginning.
The sounds of battle echoed in his ears again. Dina's tears fell to the ground, and the birds in the sky, ignoring the brutal battle below, continued flying into the distance.
The scimitar in the bearman Viri's hand slowly pierced Allen's skin.
"Go to hell!" Allen clenched his fists together and smashed them fiercely into the arm Viri was using to choke him.
The thick arm bent at a very awkward angle, and a grayish-white broken bone protruded through it.
Viri clutched his broken arm, looking at Allen, who was also somewhat bewildered, with a face full of confusion.
Allen spat out a mouthful of phlegm, his mind replaying everything that had happened in the last few seconds as if it were a dream. Yet, he could feel a complete transformation within him, from the inside out. But he couldn't articulate exactly what had changed.
Looking at his hands, which seemed no different than usual, Allen stopped trying to figure out what had just happened. He was a man of action. Since he couldn't understand it, he would experiment to find the truth.
Allen felt as if a restless energy coursed through his entire body, as if he would be consumed by backlash if he didn't release it.
Allen wasn't the only one who acted; Viri was also short-tempered, raising his clawed hand and swatting at him.
Although he couldn't understand why this human in front of him had broken free from his arm, Viri, a rather unintelligent Bearman, thought that humans were all cunning, and perhaps this human had deliberately let himself be stabbed.
Facing the giant claw, which was like a small washbasin, Allen dodged to the side, grabbed the giant claw that missed its target with both hands, twisted his waist and hips, and executed a shoulder throw.
With his memories integrated, Allen could be said to have learned over half of the Martial Skills on the continent. Unfortunately, without the enhancement of Battle Qi, he still subconsciously used his close-quarters combat techniques from his previous life.
Even among the Bear Clan of the Bears, Viri was considered a large individual, weighing nearly a ton in his true form, along with at least two hundred kilograms of iron armor. He was thrown to the ground like a rag doll.
The loud noise Viri made when he was thrown to the ground attracted everyone's attention.
"This guy has so much strength." Wood, inside the north gate, suddenly felt a pang of fear. He recalled when Allen first arrived at Outpost County and moved into the Old Castle, he had often gone to take advantage of things in the name of the Overgod.
Even Sakre, who was in a tough fight, was drawn to the commotion. Because he had activated his Battle Qi, his senses were much sharper than usual. As he looked over, he clearly saw a creature resembling a flood dragon or a python faintly appearing and constantly moving on Allen's shoulders.
Allen's hands were still gripping Viri's wrists. He glanced back at the dense Wolf Cavalry behind him with a sinister grin. With a "crack," Viri, who was disoriented from the fall, wailed in pain, using his broken arm to touch his mangled palm.
Viri, who was incredibly brave within the Behemoth country, had come to human territory for the first time to make a living, only to lose an eye, a forearm, and a hand.
His formidable strength, which he was so proud of, was no match for a small human.
In the eyes of the Bearmen, anyone under two meters was considered small, and Barbarians over two meters tall were considered malnourished and half-crippled.
Viri suspected that the guy stepping on his head with his foot hid an elephant in his small body.
Allen couldn't give him a reasonable explanation. Instead, he knelt down in front of all the Wolf Cavalry and gently embraced Viri's neck with both hands, like a lover.
The familiar "crack" sound echoed again, and the light in Viri's remaining eye gradually faded.
Allen gave a strange smile to the dense Wolf Cavalry in the distance, then turned his head and shouted towards the north gate, "Old Laixi!"
The Old Butler rushed over with agility unbefitting his age, lightly tapped Allen's forehead, and then, shouting and yelping as if avoiding a plague, turned and ran.
Sakre glanced at Allen, confused, feeling that this scene was eerily familiar, and a warning bell went off in his mind.
Only Dina, who knew her Second Young Master's temperament well, didn't say a word and immediately turned and ran back to the east gate.
Countless magic elements in space began to churn restlessly, and in the next second, a deafening explosion resounded throughout Outpost County.
A blacksmith in the market looked towards the blazing north side, touched his bald head, and chuckled heartily.
"Was that domain power just now?" The bald man, with his hands behind his back, struck the glowing red steel.
