Taking tiny steps, Little Zack slowly approached a Wasteland Brutal Bear that was foolishly staring at the sky.

The Wasteland Brutal Bear noticed Little Zack approaching as well. It gave two soft growls and waved its paw, but otherwise paid him no mind.

Perhaps in its eyes, there was nothing one slap could not solve. If there was, then two slaps. Even if this human made any dangerous move toward it, one slap would be enough to smack him dead.

Once Little Zack had gotten close enough, he kept recalling how his grandfather had taught him.

He took a deep breath and confidently began chanting at the brutal bear.

A few dozen seconds later...

Allen was completely dumbfounded. He felt that Little Zack had dragged his intelligence down to the same level, then battered him black and blue with his wealth of experience.

Even Dina wore an expression of deep disappointment.

There were no elemental spirits dancing in the air, nor was there a beam of light shooting into the sky.

There was only Little Zack babbling away like he had spent years selling Amway before switching careers to sell insurance. "Ah, honorable Wasteland Brutal Bear, would you be willing to become my intimate comrade-in-arms, as close as brothers, living together day and night, and serve as my battle Guardian Beast? I am Montal-Zack, son of Bloody Hoof Zack of the Savage Tribe."

The Wasteland Brutal Bear looked completely confused. It looked at Little Zack, then at Allen in the distance, who was equally dumbfounded and still hugging a tree trunk.

Little Zack rambled through it again. "Ah, revered Wasteland Brutal Bear, would you be willing to become my intimate comrade-in-arms with me, Montal-Zack, son of Bloody Hoof Zack of the Savage Tribe..."

Before he could finish, the panda turned
