Cosmology and Structure

The Prehistoric World arose after the Hongmeng Era was overturned by an Immeasurable Calamity characterized as pollution. The surviving clan origins, true spirits, and innate Dao forms were sealed away; after the newborn Chaos replaced Hongmeng’s wreckage, Pangu opened heaven and earth, drawing those surviving Dao seeds into the new world. 380 588

The Three Dao Wills

The world is governed by the wills of the Heavenly Dao, Earth Path, and Humanity Path. Though normally distinct, they are facets of one complete world-consciousness. 640

Great Array of Zhou Tian Stars

The Human Race’s Great Array of Zhou Tian Stars is one of the Prehistoric World’s greatest formations. Once deployed, it envelops the entire world rather than creating a separate formation space; the world itself becomes a cage from which escape requires overwhelming power. 375

The Jie Sect assembled a Myriad Immortals Formation from interlocking trapping, killing, illusion, poison, and death formations. Although it lacked the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation as its core, it remained a major world-level defensive force. 374

History

Era of races

The Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin clans were the protagonists of an earlier era, followed by the Witch and Demon races. The Human Race was destined to become the protagonist of the next age. 90

During the Witch-Demon era, Cangyuan relocated humans from their ancestral land into the Human World, where they established a new homeland under the guidance of the Three Human Ancestors. This removal was so complete that even the Saints could not locate the missing Human Race across the Prehistoric World. 26 84 99

When humanity later emerged openly, its foundation alarmed the world. The Human Race fielded one hundred thousand Golden Immortals and demonstrated the potential to become the era’s hegemon. 119

Conflict with the Heavenly Dao

Pangu disclosed that a plan existed for the Prehistoric World’s destruction: following the Heavenly Dao’s destined script toward the Age of Dharma’s End would perfect Pangu’s Dao Fruit and allow him to pursue the Great Dao Realm. The Saints rejected sacrificing the world’s countless living beings except as a final measure. 380 560

During the ensuing conflict, Cangyuan reassembled the Three Treasures of World Creation into the World Creation Divine Axe and resolved to challenge Heaven. 377 The world’s fragmented central land was subsequently reforged into four continents, though its World Origin and size were reduced. 383

Contact with other realms

Cangyuan revealed the Chaos Supreme Treasure Time and Space Gate, opening a route to the Myriad Phenomena Divine Realm and beginning the Prehistoric World’s direct contact with other divine realms. 461

As the Black Tide threatened Chaos itself, the Prehistoric World became the proposed ark capable of carrying its inhabitants beyond the coming catastrophe. Only a supreme world was considered capable of crossing Chaos and breaking its barrier. 560 562

The Homeless Domain later accepted Chaos Prehistoric World as an ally against the Lost Divine Court. 634

Divine Realm integration

To strengthen the world against the Black Tide, several divine realms merged their World Origins and territories into the Prehistoric World.

• Heaven Divine Realm — established west of the West Sea. 600
• Olympus Divine Realm — fused beside the Heaven Divine Realm; its Primal Gods recreated Olympus, the sea, sky, abyss, night, and underworld. 600
• Nine Realms Divine Realm — Surtr refined Asgard into a world seed, planted it north of the North Sea, and grew a World Tree bearing the Nine Realms. 601
• Myriad Phenomena Divine Realm — merged into the southwest, bringing the Prehistoric World to Origin World perfection. 601

Ascension

After Cangyuan returned as a Mythical Daluo, he dissipated the Void, transformed six sacrificed Boundless Great Worlds into source power, and commanded the myriad worlds to converge into the Prehistoric World. 677

The resulting ascension erased the Void, Chaos, and Homeless Domain from the region, leaving the Prehistoric World as its only True Realm. 677
