Break the Deadlock
Elton felt a tremendous force coming from the spear shaft, and his hands throbbed with pain. The spear instantly went out of control, and the tip was pulled high into the air by his opponent, pointing towards the sky, leaving the entire center gate wide open!
"A good opportunity!" How could the Sauron soldier who had been forced back by the spearhead miss such a golden opportunity? He roared and moved like lightning, instantly rushing into the gap in front of Elton. The sharp Hand-and-a-Half Sword in his hand carried a chilling aura and went straight for Elton's unprotected chest and abdomen!
"Elton!" The recruit had just gotten up from the ground when he saw his comrade in dire straits. An unprecedented surge of courage instantly overwhelmed his fear!
Without a second thought, he let out a roar that was almost like that of a wild beast, and his whole body flew from the side like a cannonball towards the Sauron soldier who was thrusting at him!
"Bang!"
The new recruit crashed into the Sauron soldier, and the two fell heavily to the ground!
Although the recruits were inexperienced in combat, their youth and strength, along with their survival instincts and determination to save their comrades, allowed them to unleash astonishing power!
The moment he landed, he pressed his body against his opponent, his hands gripping Sauron soldier's right wrist, which was holding the sword, like iron clamps, desperately trying to wrest the deadly blade away!
"Damn bastard! Let go!" The Sauron soldier, pinned to the ground, was both shocked and furious. He struggled violently, his other hand frantically pounding on the recruit's head and back.
The two rolled and wrestled on the ground, fighting over the Hand-and-a-Half Sword that would decide their fate.
Elton was extremely anxious upon seeing this and wanted to step forward to help, but he himself was also in great danger!
The Sauron soldier who had grabbed the end of his spear was gritting his teeth as he struggled for control of the spear, while simultaneously raising his foot to kick him hard in the shin! Elton could only struggle to sit back, steadying his lower body, and gripping the middle of the spear shaft tightly with both hands, unable to break free at all!
For a time, the battle in the alleyway reached an eerie stalemate.
Sweat, blood, and mud mingled, soaking everyone's clothes.
Heavy breathing, angry roars, the scraping of weapons, and the dull thuds of fists hitting flesh filled this deadly alley.
Just as these four groups were locked in a life-or-death struggle in the narrow alley, a sudden and rapid sound of hooves, like rolling thunder, came from afar and grew closer!
The sound of hooves was dense and heavy, indicating that there was more than one rider, and they were rushing towards this area at high speed!
"Not good!" Roderick, who was wrestling with Olf, was shocked, and a chill instantly ran through his body!
This is deep within the outer city, far from the inner city's defenses. The cavalry appearing here are almost certainly not friendly forces! They could only be Sauron scouts or something worse!
Olf was locked in combat with him, had obviously also heard the hoofbeats. A look of surprise flashed across his face at first, but then turned into ecstasy!
He naturally assumed that it was his own cavalry coming to sweep and clear the area!
Taking advantage of the moment when Roderick was momentarily distracted by the sudden turn of events and his grip loosened, Olf's eyes flashed with a fierce light!
"Die!" Olf roared, unleashing his full power to parry Roderick's Battle Axe. He then stepped forward and slammed his shoulder into Roderick's chest!
Caught off guard, Roderick's lower body was shaken, and he was knocked backward!
Olf pressed his advantage, pinning Roderick down beneath him! He raised his blood-dripping short-handled axe high in the air, and with his full weight and ferocious killing intent, brought it down fiercely towards Roderick's face!
If that axe blow lands, Roderick's head will surely be blown apart!
Roderick was terrified. His survival instinct kicked in, and his hands shot upwards like lightning, grabbing Olf's wrist as he swung the axe down! The chill of the blade was already touching his nose!
The two were locked in a brutal battle of strength! Taking advantage of his superior position, Olf pressed down with his entire weight, unleashing terrifying power in his arms, as the axe blade slowly, bit by bit, pressed towards Roderick's brow!
Roderick's forehead veins bulged, and his eyes were bloodshot from the extreme effort; he could clearly feel the cold touch of death.
Orff's ferocious and twisted face occupied his entire field of vision, showing the cruel pleasure of a hunter about to crush his prey.
His strength was rapidly draining away, and a flicker of despair crossed Roderick's eyes. He seemed to already hear the breath of death...
In that life-or-death moment!
The sound of hooves reached the alleyway entrance! Like a whirlwind sweeping through!
A black bolt of lightning, carrying unparalleled force, hurtled in from the alley entrance!
Out of the corner of his eye, Roderick caught a glimpse of an exceptionally magnificent black warhorse that seemed to burst into view like a demon, with a knight on its back wearing a dark cloak whose face was obscured!
The knight lowered his body, holding an extremely long lance horizontally in his hand, the tip of which gleamed with a cold, deadly light!
Time seemed to freeze at that moment.
The next moment.
"Pfft!!!"
A dull thud as a sharp blade pierced through leather and flesh exploded in Roderick's ears!
He watched in disbelief as the cold tip of the lance pierced Olf's chest as easily as if it were a thin sheet of paper, emerging instantly through his back! The bloodied tip even grazed Roderick's cheek, leaving a burning pain and a strong smell of blood!
Olf's sinister smile and murderous intent froze instantly, transforming into utter astonishment and disbelief.
All his strength receded like a receding tide, and the short axe he had been holding high fell to the ground with a clang.
He opened his mouth wide, as if he wanted to say something, but only blood mixed with fragments of internal organs gushed out.
Immediately afterwards, an irresistible force came!
The lance, carrying Olf's body, abruptly "lifted" him off Roderick, like throwing off a tattered sack, sending him flying through the air!
The black warhorse didn't stop at all, its hooves flying as it galloped past Roderick, who was lying on the ground!
The vibrations of the horseshoe striking the ground were clearly audible; the nearest hoof almost grazed Roderick's ear, making his eardrums ring!
Roderick collapsed to the ground, panting heavily, staring in shock at the mysterious cavalryman.
The knight held the reins with one arm, while the other hand held the lance steadily horizontally, with Olf still alive piercing the shaft.
Olf's body was pierced by the spear, hanging from it like a flag, his limbs twitching limply, emitting intermittent, inhuman hoarse sounds.
The cavalryman continued his charge along the alleyway without slowing down. As he rounded a corner, he suddenly swung his arm, flinging the Olf, which was impaled on his rifle, away like trash. The Orf slammed heavily against a broken wall in the distance with a dull thud and then fell silent.
The cavalryman didn't even glance at Roderick, nor did he pay any attention to the other stunned Sauron soldier and Carnford garrison in the alley. As if he had merely crushed an ant in his path, he flashed and rushed out to the other end of the alley, leaving only the receding sound of hooves and a deathly silent battlefield.
