History
Cosmic periods and interstellar society
Human history recognizes three major technological revolutions. The First Cosmic Period, also called the Surface Period, marked humanity's transition from surface civilization into the industrial-technological era. The Second Cosmic Period was driven by Spatial Technology, enabling continuous exploration of the universe, planetary transformation, and the rise of interstellar civilizations; the original Five Great Cosmic Nations rose during this period. 65
A major barrier to a unified interstellar society was the universe's inconsistent time flow rates: time could pass radically differently between planets and star fields. Lin Ming's Anti-series Energy Technology unified time flow throughout Human Civilization's territory, allowing interstellar communication, administration, and travel to function on a shared temporal standard. 371
War with the Void Civilization
The Void Civilization was a Universe Level civilization slightly stronger than Human Civilization, and the two fought across a central star domain. Human forces relied heavily on mecha and advanced machinery, while the Void Civilization fielded Void Giant Ships, Void Fortresses, and Void Lords. 68 176 178
Human Civilization's cutting-edge mecha technology became the decisive advantage of the war. Its Apocalypse-level combatants were generally stronger than Void Lords because of mecha amplification, allowing Human forces to gain an advantage and ultimately absorb Void technology after occupying the civilization. 206 210 276
Internal restructuring
The Void War's outcome altered Human Civilization's political balance. The Five Great Cosmic Nations planned to allow new Super Galaxy Cluster-level powers to emerge from the acquired territory; the Glorious Federation and Divine Moon Cosmic Nation were later announced as newly promoted super powers, changing the former five-nation arrangement to seven. 206 246
Wan Teng was subsequently approved as a formal Cosmic Nation during the Crystal Civilization crisis. 285
The Empire and Eastern Nether Alliance later destroyed the Beast God Civilization through superior technology, including space-locking systems and Void-derived technology that neutralized artillery barrages. 276 277 282
Crystal Civilization crisis
Crystal Beings acquired information and coordinates on Human Civilization, then returned to their civilization with the intent to invade. 112 131
The Crystal Civilization eventually arrived at Human territory as a colossal red crystalline entity. Human Civilization's border shield withstood its initial assault, while the Empire deployed forces cultivating the Entropy Matter Cultivation Method under Wei Lan's command. 291
Human leaders publicly warned citizens of the threat and released the Entropy Matter Cultivation Method as a countermeasure. Wan Teng later announced Solidification Destruction Technology, a public technology for destroying individual Crystal Beings. 285 295
Human Civilization launched its first proactive counterattack against the Crystal Civilization after the enemy attempted to divide itself for a prolonged war of attrition. 309 325
Unification
After the Later Saint's Anti-Atomic Virus devastated the Empire's main planet and star domain, Xiao Lan countered the catastrophe through information manipulation. The Empire's remaining soldiers and generals lost the will to continue fighting, surrendered to Wan Teng, and formed a unified Human Civilization for the first time in the Interstellar Era. 417
Political Structure
| Period | Documented structure |
|---|---|
| Second Cosmic Period | The Five Great Cosmic Nations rose as major powers during humanity's interstellar expansion. 65 |
| After the Void War | Three Galaxy Cluster-level powers were proposed for promotion to Super Galaxy Cluster level, potentially changing the five-nation structure to eight. 206 |
| Later restructuring | The Glorious Federation and Divine Moon Cosmic Nation were announced as new super powers, establishing a seven-nation arrangement. 246 |
| Crystal Civilization crisis | Wan Teng became a formal Cosmic Nation. 285 |
| Grand finale | The Empire's remnants joined Wan Teng, unifying Human Civilization. 417 |
Technological Capabilities
Mecha and Brain Domain warfare
Human Civilization combines individual cultivation with machinery and Brain Domain development. A lower-level Gene Warrior with sufficient mechanical equipment and Brain Domain amplification can contend with a physically stronger opponent. 12
- Brain Domain Developers can amplify mechanical weapons, including cannons and firearms, to greatly raise their combat output. 37
- For melee equipment, total energy output combines the user's Physical Level, Brain Domain Level, and the equipment's inherent Energy Level. 54
- D-class mecha technology includes Second Cosmic Period systems such as energy shields and Kinetic Energy Conversion Devices. 65
- Cutting-edge mecha technology gave Human Civilization a decisive edge over the Void Civilization. 210
- Apocalypse-level Mechanists can assemble SSS-class mechas, described as humanity's strongest known combat power in the universe. 209
Anti-series Energy Technology
Anti-series Energy ignores time, space, and matter, operating independently of ordinary energy systems. It is the foundation of the Interstellar Era. 371
- A central instrument emits Anti-series Energy particles across Human territory, linking different spaces and time flows. 371
- It standardizes time throughout Human Civilization, making coordinated interstellar society possible. 371
- Misuse could alter regional time flow rates and cause civilizational collapse. 371
Industrial and mecha production
Two civilizational-level technologies obtained by Wan Teng substantially improve mechanical production.
- Nanofactory Technology — Produces equipment in minutes rather than far longer conventional manufacturing cycles, while reducing material consumption by approximately 20%. 224
- Mechanical God-Attachment Technology — Replicates the “Enlightenment” effect normally limited to the first mecha of a model, improving performance by roughly 10–20%. 224
Anti-Crystal technology
Human Civilization developed and distributed technologies specifically for resisting the Crystal Civilization.
- Entropy Matter Cultivation Method — Publicly released to allow ordinary cultivators to begin cultivating Entropy Matter; it became a major defensive preparation against the Crystal invasion. 284 285
- Solidification Destruction Technology — A public version of technology capable of destroying individual Crystal Beings. 295
- Decomposition Fission Cannons — Deployed en masse against Crystal forces during the first major clashes. 291 298
- Planetary traction strategy — Battlefield planets were moved away in advance to deny the Crystal Civilization accessible matter and energy. 300
Society and Territory
- Human Civilization occupies only a tiny portion of the universe; the explored and occupied region may not equal one ten-thousandth of the whole. 68
- Its territory is protected by a boundary barrier that verifies the identity of departing interstellar citizens. 373
- Weaker attached civilizations can exist on the fringes of human society as part of its stated “cultural diversity.” 165
- Its most advanced technology is not broadly available: top-tier war technology is held by only a few major powers, including the Empire and Beast God Civilization. 261
Relations
- Void Civilization — A rival Universe Level civilization; Human Civilization fought and defeated it through coordinated forces and superior mecha technology. 68 210 276
- Life Civilization — A weakened remnant civilization offered divine knowledge in exchange for survival and future development under Human Civilization's protection; it was invited to join the Civilization Alliance. 165 166
- Humanoid Lifeform Civilization — Survivors of a civilization destroyed by the Crystal Civilization agreed to provide anti-Crystal technology in exchange for rescue and restoration of their kin. 293 294
- Crystal Civilization — A hostile, highly advanced civilization that invaded Human territory after obtaining human coordinates and information. 131 291
- Empire — Former dominant human Cosmic Nation whose remnants ultimately joined Wan Teng during the unification of Human Civilization. 400 417
