Ji Zijun joined the Foundation after being internally recommended on June 3rd. Although trained in applied psychology, her first major assignment placed her before Arthur, a humanoid anomaly associated with a crystal lantern and a Keter-class independent space. She approached him as a negotiator, thanked him for his cooperation, and persuaded him to discuss the Foundation’s China Plan. 1 3

Her psychological expertise remained central during the Commus Town aftermath. She assessed cultists affected by the Cult of Abundance, recommending long-term memory blocking and relocation for severe cases whose implicit memories remained triggered even after erasure. 34

When Arthur reappeared, the Foundation chose Ji Zijun as its liaison because she had previously communicated with him successfully. She survived the God of Abundance incident after Arthur healed her from near-fatal freezing, then argued before Foundation personnel that he was a powerful human mage rather than an indiscriminate enemy. 34 38
