Qingmang Mountain was merely an ordinary great mountain on the lands of Southern Jambudvipa. It had only become famous because of a great demon like Shang Yang.
At any rate, Shen Gui could not see anything special about the mountain before him—Qingmang Mountain lay at the border of Southern Jambudvipa, so it had not taken him much time to travel there from Blackwater City.
However, as he approached Qingmang Mountain, Shen Gui discovered Demon Soldiers patrolling every major path leading into the mountain.
This did not surprise Shen Gui.
After all, Qingmang Mountain was located in Southern Jambudvipa and was hostile to the Demon Country. It would have been strange if it had no defenses at all.
Descending from the clouds, Shen Gui headed directly toward the mountain path leading into Qingmang Mountain.
Since he had come to meet Shang Yang, he no longer tried to sneak in. Otherwise, if he were discovered, it would inevitably lead to some unpleasant misunderstandings.
Thus, he intended to pay a direct and open visit.
As Shen Gui revealed himself and walked toward the mountain path, a sharp-eyed demon soldier guarding the road quickly spotted him.
"Who goes there? Stop! This is Qingmang Mountain, the territory of Lady Shang Yang. Outsiders are not permitted to enter."
Looking at the demon soldier blocking his way, Shen Gui released a trace of pressure and said, "I have an urgent matter and have come to visit the Mountain Lord of Qingmang Mountain. Please report my arrival."
Sensing the trace of pressure Shen Gui had released, the demon soldier's expression changed.
He had not felt such pressure even from some of the other great demons of Qingmang Mountain. If he had to compare it to anything, it could only be the pressure released when Shang Yang had driven back Huoyun. He had once caught a distant glimpse of the two, and the pressure they released during their battle had been comparable to this.
Though he did not know where Shen Gui had come from, the demon soldier knew this was not something he could handle—he was merely one of countless demon soldiers stationed at Qingmang Mountain's outermost perimeter. This matter had to be reported.
Cupping his hands toward Shen Gui, the demon soldier's tone became much more respectful. "Please wait here, sir. I will report this to Lady Shang Yang at once."
With that, the demon soldier immediately headed into Qingmang Mountain.
Seeing this, Shen Gui ignored the gazes of the other Demon Soldiers along the mountain path and waited where he stood.
