Background / History

Nuwa and her brother Fuxi transformed during the Dragon-Han Great Tribulation, when both were only peak Golden Immortals. A Grand Unity cultivator coveted Nuwa's Spiritual Treasures and attempted to kill her; Fuxi arrived in time for the siblings to escape, though only with difficulty. The incident shaped Fuxi's determination to protect weaker beings, while Nuwa remained deeply concerned for his safety. 103

She and Fuxi later founded Heavenly Demon City in the Central Continent as a refuge for demons. Neither founder sought territorial expansion, leaving the city comparatively peaceful. 34

After becoming a Quasi-Saint, Nuwa maintained a small circle of followers at Mount Buzhou, initially centered on Qing Luan and Golden Phoenix. She allowed Shen Gui to join them, giving him access to her cultivation guidance and sermons. 41

Nuwa intervened in the first major war between the Demon Country and Wu Clan when Fuxi was endangered. Relying on physical strength rather than spells, she struck seven Ancestor Witches away with single palm attacks, then compelled a settlement: the Demon Country withdrew from the Central Continent and the Wu Clan took control. 201

Her curiosity about demons that must transform led her to contemplate a new race born directly with Innate Dao Bodies. After gathering the Nine Heavens Breathing Soil and Three Lights Divine Water—and bargaining with Hongjun for the Universe Cauldron—she created the Human Race. This act brought her to peak Quasi-Saint and then sainthood. 207 212

After becoming a Saint, Nuwa created the Chaos small world of Wa Huang Heaven, moved her Mount Buzhou dojo there, and became the master of Wa Huang Palace. 214 215

Appearance

Nuwa is described as graceful and beautiful, with jade-like hands, smooth forehead, cherry lips, and a noble, sacred presence when exercising her authority. 212 551

  • Her ordinary demeanor can be playful, sulky, and informal around close companions. 34 216
  • When serious, she projects majestic pressure befitting a supreme divine being. 98 99
  • Her Saint aura inspires involuntary reverence even when she does not deliberately release pressure. 213
  • She commonly travels on Golden Phoenix. 364

Personality

Nuwa is powerful, proud, and highly conscious of her reputation as a great deity. She is nevertheless reluctant to manage followers directly, preferring to delegate practical matters to Shen Gui while retaining ultimate authority. 88 89

She can be unreliable and comedic in private, yet becomes dignified and exacting before outsiders. Her subordinates recognize both sides of her personality and instinctively become more formal when she is serious. 34 99

Nuwa is fiercely protective of Fuxi. Although she generally avoids involvement in worldly struggles, she directly entered the Demon–Wu conflict when her brother faced mortal danger. 103 201

She bears grudges, particularly against Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Tai Yi, and other Saints remain wary of her willingness to resolve disputes through overwhelming force. 84 157 360

Her concern for others can coexist with mischief and manipulation. After Shen Gui claimed that she only subdued others by force, she deliberately acted vulnerable to make him believe she had fallen for him, solely to tease him. 364
