Background & History

Before entering East Moon Academy at twelve, Ye Hao was lively and close to other Ye Family youths. He became quiet, withdrawn, and unwilling to discuss the bullying he endured after enrolling. At the beginning of the story, he is repeatedly humiliated by Li Lengxuan and Jiang Shaojie while possessing only the publicly known strength of a Body Refining Realm Eighth Level student. 1 2 11

Following a soul transmigration, Ye Hao refuses Li Lengxuan's demands and begins acting without suppressing himself. He rapidly advances through the Qi Condensation Realm, defeats the classmates who abused him, and develops the principle of Clear Mind: pursuing what he genuinely wants and acting upon it rather than repressing himself. 1 5 8 9

He takes Lin Shige and Lin Shiyu into his household after meeting them at the slave market. In exchange for their service, he provides cultivation methods and resources, promises them protection, and later kills the Li Family members responsible for their father's death. 6 9 18

Ye Hao's defining pursuit is Clear Mind. He believes that suppressing his desires clouds the mind, while honestly acting on his convictions brings clarity and cultivation progress. This makes him unusually direct: he refuses to submit to those stronger by status, charges people who expect his protection for free, and rejects social expectations he considers unreasonable. 5 16 32

He is calm and often outwardly indifferent under pressure, but reacts violently to threats against his family or people under his protection.
