Background / History
Ye Wuchen was once regarded as the true prodigy of both the Ye Family and the Great Zhou Imperial Dynasty. He began cultivating at twelve, advanced rapidly through the major realms, and described himself as a prodigy whom no one else in Great Zhou could rival. His exceptional talent attracted admiration, envy, and numerous enemies. 10
He married Ye Hao's mother, an overwhelmingly powerful woman from a distant place. Her family opposed the marriage because she had previously been betrothed; her older brother destroyed Ye Wuchen's Dantian Qi Sea, while her parents spared his life only after she threatened suicide. Her sixteen-year promise to return prevented the Eastern Region's major powers from openly attacking Ye Wuchen and the Ye Family. 8 10
After becoming unable to cultivate, Ye Wuchen returned to the Ye Family and endured years of veiled mockery from old rivals. He nevertheless kept watch over Ye Hao's life and academy experiences, deliberately allowing his son to endure bullying as an unconventional lesson in self-reliance. 8 10
Ye Hao's Clear Mind-oriented cultivation method led Ye Wuchen to recognize the importance of a Dao Heart. Ye Wuchen comprehended his own Dao as doing as he pleased through dominance, which caused his destroyed Qi Sea to begin recovering and produced the Nine Heavens Ten Earths Tyrant God Art in his mind. 9 10
After regaining his cultivation, Ye Wuchen helped prepare the Ye Family against the Eastern Region's hostile powers. He openly revealed his return to the Spirit Gathering Realm, later reached the Martial King Realm, and became the central force behind the family's rise. 25 44
Appearance
Ye Wuchen is a strikingly handsome man who usually wears white robes. Though no longer young, he appears to be around thirty years old and is repeatedly described as elegant, calm, and dashing. 7 24
- Often reclines in a Grand Tutor Chair while resting or speaking with Ye Hao. 7 8
- Wears white robes; during the confrontation in the Great Zhou Imperial City, his clothing included white with red accents. 7 38
- Was described as white-haired after returning to East Moon City with his cultivation crippled. 19
- Can levitate and travel through the air after recovering his cultivation. 24 25
Personality
Ye Wuchen is outwardly relaxed, refined, and lightly humorous, particularly around Ye Hao. Even when discussing grave subjects, he often speaks calmly or reclines comfortably, masking the pressure and resentment accumulated during years of powerlessness. 8 10
His Dao Heart reflects his core values: freedom, authenticity, and dominance. He despises being constrained or forced to act against his own wishes, a feeling shaped by his ruined cultivation, separation from his wife, and the humiliation he endured from powerful enemies. 9 10
He is fiercely protective of those he considers family. His restraint disappears when confronting people who harmed Qiao Qingxue, threatened Ye Hao, or oppressed the Eastern Region. Although capable of great ruthlessness, he does not act merely to display power; his most violent actions are tied to revenge, protection, or repayment of old grievances. 38 39 44 49
