Background / History
Transmigration and the System
Lu Changsheng is a transmigrator who arrived in the Primordial World as an Innate Deity whose true form was the Innate Enlightenment Tree. Initially dissatisfied that he had transformed after the Dragon-Han Initial Tribulation, he believed his late start would limit his path to sainthood. 1
The Great Dao Spendthrift System bound to him and granted an immense reserve of Merit along with treasures including the Primordial Creation Art, the God-Slaying Spear, Sacred Azure Tribulation Light, and an Ascending Dao Profound Spirit Fruit. The system's central restriction is that he cannot attain the Great Dao Saint realm until he has spent all of his Merit. 1
After refining the spirit fruit, Lu Changsheng's foundation rose from Innate Deity to top-tier Chaos Demon God, and his cultivation leapt from early- to late-stage Grand Unity Golden Immortal. He later formed Three Thousand Dao Seeds, gaining the ability to mobilize the Three Thousand Laws. 1 2
Rise of Wuji Heaven
Lu Changsheng first became entangled with the Witch and Demon Clans when Houtu and Xing Tian protected him from Che Qi. He repaid Houtu with one hundred thousand Merit, while Che Qi's later attempt to attack him drew Heavenly Dao punishment and killed him. 2 3 4
When Kunpeng tried to rob him alongside Che Qi, Lu Changsheng displayed ninety-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine Golden Wheels of Merit and instead hired Kunpeng as his mount. Kunpeng accepted a Heavenly Dao Oath requiring service in exchange for one million Merit every thousand years. 3 4 5
After having a Great Thousand World created for him, Lu Changsheng named it Wuji Heaven and took control of it. He turned Wuji Heaven into the center of a Merit-for-treasures exchange, attracting Saints, great powers, and prospective followers. 9 10 13
Saint Creation and World Development
To spend Merit faster, Lu Changsheng encouraged cultivators of every level to create worlds, reclaim land, expand the Primordial barrier, and refine Chaos Stars. His rewards reshaped the Primordial World into a cooperative environment where cultivation and pioneering could both earn Merit. 26 54 93
After attaining sainthood, he gave a three-day Merit Rain to the Primordial World and publicly taught the Primordial Unity Dao Scripture, a method of proving the Dao through laws. 37 39
Lu Changsheng's Saint Creation Plan produced new Saints, including East King Duke, Kunpeng, and Randeng. He later continued recruiting powerful figures and clans to create worlds and expand Wuji Heaven's influence. 45 47 67
Lord of the Primordial World
Lu Changsheng eventually refined the Primordial World Suppressing Heaven Seal, connecting himself directly to the world's origin and becoming the true Lord of the Primordial World. 94
He later perfected the Heavenly Creation Great Dao and bestowed its affinity upon all worlds, accelerating the evolution of life throughout them. 128
Appearance
Lu Changsheng normally appears as a young, handsome, refined cultivator. Even after enhancing his body into a form comparable to an Ancestor Witch, he deliberately returned to this elegant appearance. 1 23
- Usually wears white robes. 23
- Can conceal an extremely powerful physique beneath an ordinary scholarly appearance. 23
- His arrivals are often accompanied by auspicious clouds, purple qi, and manifestations of the River of Time and Space. 73 129
- His Merit may manifest as vast Golden Wheels behind him. 3 4
Personality
Lu Changsheng's defining goal is to squander Merit as quickly as possible so that he can fulfill the System's condition for becoming a Great Dao Saint. This makes him treat treasures, Merit, and even Saint-level services as expendable resources rather than objects of reverence. 1 13 89
He is calm and dismissive toward threats, relying on both his own power and the protection granted by his immense Merit. He can be generous on a world-changing scale, but his generosity is usually tied to expanding creation efforts, empowering subordinates, or accelerating the expenditure of Merit. 4 37 54
Lu Changsheng is also blunt and occasionally ruthless. He severely injured Ming He when angered, routinely pressures followers to continue pioneering, and destroyed vast amounts of Merit rather than accept it from the Heavenly Dao. 41 65 137
