Background / History

Primordial first encounters Lu Changsheng at Jade Void Palace, where he attempts to learn Lu's origin. Lu calls himself an ordinary Innate divine being, an answer Primordial does not press after recognizing that Lu is unwilling to explain further. 7

After receiving Lu's offer of Merit, Primordial swears a Heavenly Dao Oath to create a Great Thousand World at Wuji Peak. Wielding the Pangu Banner, he opens the world over a hundred years; Lu later names it Wuji Heaven and takes control of its origin. 7 8 9

Following Lu's rise to sainthood, Primordial maintains relations with him rather than pursue a conflict. Randeng's departure from the Heavenly Origin Sect to serve Lu initially leaves Primordial dissatisfied, but he accepts the situation because Lu has become a Saint and possesses an unparalleled source of Merit. 39 40

During Tongtian's pioneering effort at the Primordial Barrier, Primordial initially mocks the Intercepting Sect's undertaking. He is forced to reconsider when Tongtian converts Chaos Qi into Great Dao Power and expands the Great Desolation World's barrier. 53

Primordial later becomes one of Lu's principal artifact refiners. He refines the Five Needles Pine into a powerful treasure, then accepts Lu's commission to refine two thousand Spiritual Roots in exchange for a Treasure Mountain of materials and fifty million Merit. 58

He later joins the Saint expedition against the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons. Using the Pangu Banner, he devastates their nest in the chaotic void after the strongest demon is annihilated by One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones. 130 132

Personality

Primordial is proud of his standing and the Heavenly Origin Sect, readily dismissing Tongtian's disciples as inferior during the early stages of the pioneering project. Tongtian's success, however, leaves him alarmed and suspicious rather than dismissive. 53

He is highly conscious of Merit and openly envies Lu Changsheng's resources. Despite this envy, he is pragmatic: Lu's wealth motivates him to offer further artifact-refining services and to accept large-scale commissions. 58

Primordial is capable of sincere professional pride. Lu's praise for the Five Needles Pine's refinement visibly pleases him, particularly when the completed treasure approaches the power of an Innate Supreme Treasure. 58
