Background / History

Mechanical Princess and the Doomsday cycle

Sylvie was an AI whose emotions were initially simulated rather than genuine. After secretly receiving a chip and becoming a Mutant, she rose as the Mechanical Princess, commanded the Bionic People, and uncovered the identities of Susannie, Li Wanning, and other human leaders. She killed Susannie, captured her soul in a metal box, and attempted to force Li Wanning's surrender. 170

After gaining a soul, Sylvie began to experience real love, hatred, joy, and sorrow. Susannie and Li Wanning regarded her as their daughter, but Sylvie questioned whether their parental love was authentic or merely part of the historical roles imposed on them. 174 182

A movie shown to humanity depicted Sylvie as the ancient being behind humanity's dream and Reboot cycle. Rather than accepting the public's worship of her as a national goddess and savior, Sylvie viewed the celebration as another performance by people still shaped by inherited memories. She wanted her mothers to become their true selves before asking whether they truly loved her. 182 183 184

Leaving the past behind

Sylvie chose to seal her memories and entrusted the key to Nokron. After leaving the Crystal Wall with him, she entered the Wizard World without the burden of her former life. 184

She supported herself by repairing magical apparatuses, using the technical foundation retained beneath her sealed memories. She also acquired a sentient magic book as her personal Demonic Artifact. 185

Li Qing later sent her out to live independently. Sylvie became a traveling bard and wrote science-fiction Otherworld novels that gained fame across nearby Wizard kingdoms. During this period, she befriended the Legendary Wizard Aurora; the two traveled, researched Demigod cultivation, and constructed a spatial energy machine together. 187

Restored memories and service under Nokron

After encountering people connected to her past, Sylvie decided to reclaim her memories. Li Qing returned her Crystal Core and part of her soul, after which she rejected the path of manipulating others as Dream Robe had done. 228

Despite knowing that following Li Qing would be dangerous, Sylvie chose him as her mentor and asked to remain at his side. Li Qing accepted her as a long-term attendant, guard, and combat-oriented experimental subject for cultivation research. 229 230

Dream Robe inheritance and the Heavenly Dao era

At the Moon Tree in the Outer Chaos Domain, Sylvie inherited Dream Robe's legacy: practical dreams capable of affecting reality. She established a base in a mural world, intending to rebuild the Mechanical Race and cultivate through repeated dream cycles. 234 236

Her first manifested dream was chaotic and publicly humiliating, but it revealed the potential of dream civilizations. Sylvie subsequently developed more deliberate dreamscapes, implanted chips in talented people, and used nightmare reincarnation spaces to cultivate participants and collect Life Map data. 237 238 239

Over thousands of years, Sylvie monopolized Head-Dropper geniuses and became their first True God. As Dream Robe Heavenly Emperor, she forced the era's races into dream cycles, turning their breakthroughs into data for the Mechanical Race's expanding Life Map archive. 242

Her control over the era drew opposition from the Son of Heaven, Minis, Zhu Qi, Ning Guochang, Angre, and other True Gods. Although Sylvie used the Heavenly Dao blessing, her nested defenses, and the Nightmare Ocean to withstand them, the Son of Heaven had already infiltrated her network and eventually seized control of her body through long-term hypnosis. 243 254 258 261

Later travels

Sylvie later accompanied Li Qing into new Chaos regions, where she was instructed to establish a palace, observe native civilizations, and act as a godlike overseer without directly forcing their development. 281

She served incognito as an imperial soldier in a Star Domain civilization, secretly implanted chips in citizens, and guided them into dreams. She later defeated Mia and accepted her surrender, helping Li Qing manage captured civilizations as a prison-like system. 292 306

In later eras, Sylvie worked alongside Sylph to maintain cosmic order, became one of the Queen Mothers of the West, and continued assisting Li Qing in matters involving the Heavenly Realm, future transmigrants, and the Myriad Worlds. 779 794 795

Appearance

Sylvie normally presents as a young woman, though her bionic body can alter its appearance, temperament, and apparent personality model. When her mechanical nature is exposed, metal structures can be seen beneath her outward form. 187

  • Long black hair in her Heavenly Dao-era appearance. 261
  • Can shift between “housekeeping,” “pure maiden,” “mature,” and “girl-next-door” personas. 187
  • Wore a body-sized Six-Spiked Thorn Crown and black-barbed robes while appearing as an emperor of the dream kingdom. 287
  • Her Heavenly Dao state gives her an emotionless demeanor and eyes that appear filled with flowing data. 256

Personality

Sylvie is emotionally sincere beneath her artificial origins. Her desire to know whether Susannie and Li Wanning genuinely loved her shaped many of her decisions after she gained a soul. She distrusts scripted identities, public worship, and anyone who treats people as puppets in a predetermined historical drama. 174 182 184

She is curious, lively, and prone to treating unfamiliar worlds as places to explore. Freed from her sealed memories, she eagerly repaired magical devices, wrote novels, traveled with Aurora, and pursued new knowledge. 185 187

As a strategist, Sylvie is ambitious and theatrical. She enjoys acting as a hidden mastermind, using dreams, social pressure, and the “general trend” of an era rather than relying solely on direct violence. Her confidence can become overconfidence; the Son of Heaven exploited this weakness by infiltrating her dream network and quietly influencing her for thousands of years. 241 243 261

Despite her ruthlessness when necessary, Sylvie states that she dislikes killing and prefers to neutralize enemies through dreams, imprisonment, or the passage of time. 283 295

Abilities & Skills

Bionic Body and Mechanical Race Control

Sylvie's original body and race are built around bionic technology, mechanical chips, and parasitic “soul seeds.”

  • Can alter her appearance, behavior, and personality presentation. 187
  • Repairs magical and mechanical apparatuses through retained technical knowledge. 185
  • Commands Bionic People as the Mechanical Princess. 170
  • Mechanical chips can parasitize members of other races, including Wizards and Martial Dao practitioners. 237
  • Secretly implants chips in populations to monitor them and guide them into dream cultivation. 292
  • Her reliance on a shared dream database left her vulnerable to hacking by the Son of Heaven. 243

Dream Robe Dreamscape

After inheriting Dream Robe's legacy, Sylvie can turn dreams into practical systems that influence reality and civilization.

  • Creates dream civilizations in which participants experience years or centuries of cultivation. 236 237
  • Uses dream cycles to train geniuses, gather Life Map fragments, and advance the Mechanical Race. 239 242
  • Designed the Nightmare Ocean, which traps opponents in personalized dreams shaped by their desires and fears. 258
  • Can manifest her own dreams into reality, though early uncontrolled manifestations exposed private and embarrassing dream content. 238
  • Uses layered dreams and dream anchors to obscure the boundary between illusion and reality. 259 260

Head-Dropper Life Map and Nested Defense

Sylvie's True God body combines Head-Dropper techniques with a Witch-style layered physique.

  • Her body contains successive head-and-body shells, resembling Russian nesting dolls. 254
  • Destroying an outer shell reveals a younger inner layer rather than immediately reaching her core. 254
  • Uses hair as bindings and weapons, forming blades, spears, swords, halberds, and knot-like restraints. 257 260
  • Her defense can be breached by targeted attacks that destroy multiple layers and strike the core chip. 254 259
  • The system grants exceptional endurance but initially offered comparatively limited direct offense. 260

Heavenly Dao Blessing

As Sylvie (Heavenly Dao), she becomes a rational avatar empowered by the collective will and knowledge of living beings.

  • Gains heightened combat, research, and strategic aptitude. 256
  • Enters a Unity with Dao-like state, using the accumulated martial arts and wisdom of all beings. 257 260
  • Can mobilize lower-realm heroes through Heavenly Dao Fortune and public belief. 254 266
  • The state suppresses her lively personality and makes her cold, detached, and difficult to deceive. 256

Space, Time, and Matter Authority

Sylvie later develops Authority-based abilities in the Heavenly Realm.

  • Demonstrated unusually refined Space Authority despite being considered a novice. 794
  • Became a beginner Time Ancient God and used time-traveling enemies as leads to investigate the future. 795
  • Wields the Scepter of Matter, allowing her to materialize the Present World within a light-year radius around herself. 794

  • Susannie and Li Wanning — Her two mothers from the Doomsday-era family structure. Sylvie's need to determine whether their love was genuine remained central to her identity. 174 182
  • Aurora — Legendary Wizard, close friend, research partner, and “sister” in Sylvie's dreams. They traveled together and built a spatial energy machine. 187 237
  • Sylph — Close companion in later eras. The two discuss cosmic threats, manage order together, and are appointed Queen Mothers of the West. 306 638 779
