"You said your ally would come. Why hasn't he arrived yet?"
The World Forger was already growing impatient. To be honest, he had begun to wonder whether the other party truly intended to cooperate with him—or whether he had been deceived, or was deliberately stalling for time while clinging to the fantasy that Barbatos could break free of his control.
If the other party still believed he had some way to escape his control, then the wait would become endless.
"You..."
The World Forger had already made up his mind. He had been helping Batman hold back the maddened Barbatos so Batman could focus on creating a portal and pulling the members of the Prime Universe inside.
Of course, he could also try to bring the Prime Universe heroes over himself, but the World Forger knew such an attempt would yield no results.
He had once been one of the leaders of the entire Multiverse, at least one of them. But now, without a doubt, his actions had placed him in opposition to the entire Multiverse. Although the Over-Time Stream had no self-awareness, it could still distinguish viruses.
When facing him, the Prime Universe heroes would become exceptionally clever and brilliant, bringing out 120 percent of their strength. Deceiving them was no easy task—at the very least, it could not be done without preparation.
That was why he needed Batman.
He was using Batman, a creature the Multiverse had identified as an immune cell, to deceive the heroes of the Prime Universe.
But if Batman continued refusing to do what they had agreed upon, perhaps he should let a little of Barbatos's attack reach Batman, then make Batman truly understand that the thing he had been longing for...
"Alpheus."
The World Forger heard the other party call out that name
