It was a homeland he had dreamed of countless times, yet his reason still told him with absolute clarity that it was merely an illusion created from his homeland.
He had traded with Batman Dragon for the sake of this false homeland simply because he could not bear to abandon it. But now Perpetua had shown him the true way to save his homeland. Was he really going to forsake this false homeland?
If Batman Dragon threatened him with this replica universe, would he truly be so ruthlessly... utterly destroy this universe?
The First Lantern had no doubt that Batman Dragon would do such a thing. The Batman Dragon of before certainly would not have. He had still been a superhero. Although he had done things that even superheroes considered outrageous, outrageous was merely outrageous—far from crossing the line.
But ever since Perpetua had laid a trap for Batman Dragon and created an evil counterpart for him within the Over-Time Stream in the form of the Nameless Old Dragon, that evil, once awakened, had seeped into the depths of Batman Dragon's heart—or rather, the future Nameless Old Dragon's heart—at some point.
This was not an evil thought erupting from within that Batman Dragon's willpower could twist away. It was the concrete manifestation of an evil result that had already occurred, reflected upstream from the downstream of the Over-Time Stream.
That was Pepatua. Batman Dragon had no idea what he was facing. Even if she had not yet completely escaped, even if she did not possess the Total Aggregate and her power was far from its peak, her status alone meant that mortals could not even imagine
