Several days later, in the Secret Chamber of the forbidden area.

Having shed his cultivated, refined human skin and revealed his true form, Mr. Tu knelt before the Ram-Horned Idol in terror, his gaunt face deathly pale.

His body was flayed open, his limbs twisted, and he lay collapsed on the ground.

His Divine Consciousness had also sunk into the boundless Great Wilderness Purgatory, enduring every manner of cruel torture—tongue-pulling, finger-clipping, chest-piercing, steaming cages, and more.

Amid the pain, he hovered on the brink of despair.

This was Divine Punishment.

It was Divine Punishment bestowed by the Lord of the Great Wilderness because he had failed in his duties.

The Altar had been occupied, Divine Authority stolen, and the demon army had suffered catastrophic losses.

The God Lord's wrath was unlike anything before.

Even as Mr. Tu endured the suffering of purgatory, the God Lord's roar still echoed through his mind, making his heart tremble.

After a long ordeal, the torture finally stopped.

Mr. Tu's Divine Consciousness was redeemed from Great Wilderness Purgatory, no longer forced to endure the agonizing torment of despair.

His blood began to flow again, and his flesh slowly healed.

But the pain of Divine Punishment was like red-hot branding iron, seared deep into Mr. Tu's Sea of Consciousness, impossible to forget for the rest of his life.

Struggling, Mr. Tu knelt prostrate on the ground. Barely alive, he said devoutly:

"Thunder and rain are both the God Lord's great grace..."

"Thank the God Lord for His punishment..."

Within the Secret Chamber, the suffocating, violent Evil Thought eased slightly.

Mr. Tu drew a deep breath and forced out a trembling murmur:

"The majesty of gods is as vast as heaven; human lives are as lowly as ants..."
